We all know James Bond's initials are JB but did you ever notice how many other spies on film have those initials?

Jason Bourne of The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy.

Jack Byrnes of Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers.

Not a spy persay, but a very mysterious character in Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound, has 'JB' initials, 'John Ballantine'.

Always fun to spot them.

For the benefit of those unacquainted with Jason Bourne, the guy is not a spy but an assassin. A hit man, pure and simple. In fact, to be even more pedantic, he's a former assassin.

(Not that Bond seems to do much spying in his recent films, so there's maybe not all that much of a difference between him and Bourne.)

I feel a bit like Gareth in The Office pointing out that Spock is not a Vulcan, but half human, half Vulcan.

Even more like Gareth to point out that it was Brent, not Gareth, who insisted on that description...

I feel soiled.

Not even Jason Bourne's real name, is it?

Um...

John (Wilkes) Booth, there's another one.
Jeremy Bamber?

Then there's Julian Bashir. :)

In the Deep Space 9 4th season episode called "Our Man Bashir" the station doctor is caught in a holodeck programme (that he created) in which he clearly plays James Bond (although you never hear him being called that) set in the 1960's, complete with Bondian villain Doctor Noah (where have we heard that name before!?), and Bondan girls like Mona Lovesit.
