Crazy day. Now some wacko over at IMDb has posted this "plot summery" of Bond 21. 100% :), no doubt. Wasn't "Scorpio" the name of the Bond villain in that Simpson episode? LOL.

Needless to say, this is not going to make the CBn main page, but for what it's worth, here it is:

Sounds like a load of bull to me. Scorpio was the name of the villain in the Simpson's episode. This guy probably thought of it while sitting on the can.

Hey, don't knock creation on the can. I do some of my best work there. :)

:)

I know the folks at IMDb probably don't have the time to scrutinize every bit of information that they receive, but seriously, that stuff like this could make it through is kind of crazy.

LOOOOL!

Now where you have mentioned the Simpsons... Isn't destroying bridges and monuments not exactly what happens in that episode? :)

When a bridge in Russia is mysteriously destroyed, Bond is recalled from a mission in Egypt to investigate the connection with the recent 'attacks' and the machinations of a legitimate business empire called 'Scorpio'. Richard Falco, the owner, may hold the key to stopping the destruction of various monuments in the world....

Richard Falco? Hmmm.... the Bond people sure are fond of using the surname Falco, aren't they? Oh, but wait: maybe he's Michael Madsen's character's brother!

So Bond is now in the business of protecting bridges and monuments, eh? Gee, I know I've been calling for a more "down-to-earth" 007 flick, but this is ridiculous!

:)

It scared me... I thought a bomb went off! :)

Hum, yes this does sound like a load of bull. I was :) -ing at the name Falco as well, Loomis.

Richard Falco, quite a dangerous looking man. He'll conduct a jazz concert so loud and at a certain pitch that the monuments will fall.

Or maybe it'll be Richard Falco of Falco Photography who takes pictures of these monuments and the picture taking steals people's souls causing them to act like zombies who insisted on destroying the monuments.

Tim, yes it is.

Hank: Uh, Homer, one second. I gotta take care of this. Very important.  Be right back.
Homer: Fine.
[Hank's map of the world reveals a giant viewscreen, on which appears the UN staff]
Hank: Good afternoon, gentlemen. This is Scorpio. I have the Doomsday Device. You have 72 hours to deliver the gold or you'll face the consequences. And to prove I'm not bluffing, watch this.
      [activates a remote]
[an explosion occurs near the UN building]
Man 1: Oh, my God, the 59th Street bridge!
Man 2: Maybe it just collapsed on its own.
Man 1: We can't take that chance.
Man 2: You always say that. I want to take a chance.

Hilarious!!

:)

Wasn't it in The Man With the Golden Gun novel where Bond was saving the world's sugar?

I have a hard time believing stuff on IMDb, unless they're movie quotes (and even then, some people get them wrong). For example, I think someone posted a cast list for one of the newer Power Ranger series, Dino Thunder, claiming that Kate Mulgrew was back in her role as Captain Kathryn Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager.

So, yeah, I have my doubts on this "summary". :)

Lots of Falco.

Don't understand why James Bond would investigate that.

REALLY? Now that would be a good trivia question... how many traffic violations has Bond committed. Probably in the triple digits.

Edited to add: Oh, right! *smacks forehead* Now I know what to watch :)

Falco? We already have a Falco. This is complete BS.

John, I know that you peruse the IMDb boards as much as I do, so you would know how much crud they say on there. Their boards as a whole are awful. :)
