Your son Geoffrey has been suggested as the new Bond.
"I think he would be wonderful. And then he could keep me."

A very interesting idea, but if this comes to more than just a mention by Roger Moore, it could be interesting! I tried searching for some pictures of him, but really couldn't find any. I'd like to see how he'd look for the role.In a recent interview (May 24) Roger has again mentioned his eldest son would be perfect as Bond...

Really? That's him? Here is Geoffrey with Roger at "Hush", Geoffrey's restaurant in London.
He defintely has the looks of James Bond, I must say
And yes Qwerty, I also want to know can he act?
That's the most important thing.

It'd be nice to see him in a role like in Spymaker, just to get an idea. And yes Qwerty, I also want to know can he act?
That's the most important thing.

Thanks for the picture Lady Templar. Geoffrey Moore looks like he could play Bond, and even looks a little like Hugh Jackman. Unlike Jackman however, GM doesn't have that pretty boy face. Here is Geoffrey with Roger at "Hush", Geoffrey's restaurant in London.

I think so too, he has a good hairstyle for that picture, kind of seems like Pierce Brosnan's in GoldenEye. Looks like a interesting Bond contender I'd say.Geoffrey Moore looks like he could play Bond, and even looks a little like Hugh Jackman. Unlike Jackman however, GM doesn't have that pretty boy face.

That might be pretty interesting though, kind of cool perhaps.I say he looks more like his dad in the newest picture. It would be strange to have another Bond who looks like a previous one.

I think one of the question could be: does a famous surname like MOORE is enough to become an actor and a star?
Sure Geoffrey is good-looking but many actors are too. Sure Geoffrey has played in 2 movies but they were unfortunatelly for him 2 third-rate films ("Hard Hunted", 1992 and "Fit To Kill", 1993) both directed by Andy Sidaris who is far too be a great director... Both films were directly available on video.
Deborah has played a small role in the newest Bond and it was a great idea. Maybe Geoffrey could have also a role - perhaps more important - in the next Bond movie which will be another nice wink to Roger.
Now Roger has also said last year Cuba Gooding Jr. should take over the role of James Bond. Then he said Ewan McGegor would be also perfect.
Roger is a marvellous, proud and loving father; this is what he told CNN on November 2002 about e.g. Bond and DAD: "(...) my own daughter, my own little darling daughter Deborah is in one scene, which is sort of continuing the Moore tradition. I also have another Moore and I have more films. I have a son Christian who is running a company now in Hollywood, and I hope is going to keep his father in his old age. (...) I think my son Geoffrey, who runs a very successful restaurant in London and really should be acting, should be the next Bond. And then he will look after me as well."
As for Geoffrey, he told The Gardian also in 2002: "I would grab the opportunity to do a test when Pierce Brosnan moves on".
So, let's Geoffrey doing his test, and if he's the best, keeping the job and the Moore tradition alive. It would be a beautiful story...

I saw Jason Connery in a movie once with Michael Caine, "Bullet to Beijing". I noticed his last name and immediately thought of his father, though I failed to see the resemblance. To me personally Geoffrey Moore has a more Bondian look.Having suggested Jason Connery for the role and having seen a picture of Sir Roger's son, I can say this. If he can act, sign him up. (Although I always remember the story Roger Moore told back in the old day on The Merv Griffin Show, about his first summer stock acting job and director told him. "You're not very good Rog, but you are good-looking. Smile a lot!)
I also agree with 4 Ur Eyez Only about Pierce. I liked him in other movies, but he doesn't do anything to me as Bond. His 007 movies are good and he looks good, well, most of the time, but his sense of humour seems a bit strained to me. What do you think about Pierce's Bond humour?

For this era Pierce was a good choice to play Bond, but unlike Roger he is not looking as young as Roger did at his age,and I am sure that after the next Bond he'll have to say his goodbuys and they'll need to find someone else. Sometimes I think that Bond is no longer even Bond. You can't bring back the good old days with Lois Maxwell and Bernard Lee. I miss those guys. It's just not the same without them. Dalton was fine for his time too, serious and a bit evil looking, but I like him as an actor. Still not the same. I am hoping that maybe if Geoffrey Moore was hired to be the next Bond just his name and relation to Roger could bring the feel of the old times back.
