Was reading about the film over at IMDb and realised that I haven't seen it in years. The last time I did I enjoyed it, but I don't know what I would think of it now. Was just wondering what other Connery fans and other Bond fans reactions to the film is and what others think of it. Please discuss.

I think its an average Bond film. Not as good a Thunderball, but better than others. Having an older Bond was a good idea, and Connery looked a lot better than when he did during Diamonds Are Forever

Agree on all points.

A solid film.

The last time I watched NSNA, I realized how slow moving it is. There are scenes in the film that go nowhere and bog the plot down. It's semi-enjoyable though.

I think it ranges from average to good with average being the atrea it resides in the most. That being said, an average Bond film is still better than roughly eighty percent of the rest of the action films released.

Whilst I don't dislike NSNA, I still prefer all of EON's films. Just think it is a wasted opportunity and could have been so much better.

I haven't seen the film in years as I've said. I remember really liking it at the time. I loved the bike chase and the fact that Bond was an older man in it. I think it's a shame that Kim Basinger was never a Bond girl in an official film. I think she looked right for it.

If you liked it then, I'm rather sure you'll like it now. It's a fun little picture......

I liked the fact that he was old in the picture and that they wrote it into the film (the health farm sequences are primarily all about this), although the purpose is kind of defeated by Kim Basinger, half Connery's age being the Bond girl.

The theme tune and some of the music score have dated a little nowadays as well as Basinger's wardrobe in some scenes such as when she is hving dance lessons.

I haven't seen any pictures of her recently. Come to think of it I haven't seen her around in a while. The last film I seen her in was LA Confidential and that was a couple of years ago.

She always did look good. :)

It's funny, when you're about 14/15 women of 40 to 45 seem really old. But when you get to mid 20s they can be sexy.

Never Say Never Again is good but it would be better with the right elements of
a bond movie (Gunbarrel,Main Titles,James Bond Theme..etc).

I like it.
The music by Michel Legrand doesn't quite work. The villians are good, the motorcycle chase is good, not to mention original in a Bond movie. The best thing is that they do address Bond's age right from the get-go. Sean is more like Roger Moore in this one than his portrayal in TB.

Great dialogue, acting and some good setpieces. Barbara Carrera plays the best femme fatale of them all. EON only dreams they could make a Bond movie this good.

In my top five of all 007 movies!

Agreed 100% - and Klaus Maria Brandauer may be the best Bond baddie ever. His performance is quite superb.

NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN is also in my top five. Always has been, always will be. :)

No offence, Darren, but you think ATAK is great. That's not saying a lot for NSNA!

LOL! I just bought NSNA tonight at work and am watching it now. Definitely not the best Bond movie, but, IMO, it's not one of the worst, either.

Bad. Thunderball, though a little slow-paced, is exiting to watch every time. NSNA is a poor excuse for a Bond film. It's not necessarily the worst film, but it definitely strays away from the formula... and fails.

It's got Sean Connery looking 10 x better than he did 12 yrs before. Kim Basinger is in it, hubba hubba. Barbara Carrera is pretty hot, but that is it. The movie only gets ** out of **** from me. The score is horrible, and the script still needed a lot more work. Only put this one on when you get sick of watching Thunderball for the 80th time.

Watch this film when you are:

1. Drunk
2. Bored
3. Have nothing to do on a Bank Holiday
4. In need of a good laugh

Best bits:
Training exercise - then a bollocking from M.
"Yeshh, but my Martini's shtill dry"
Scrap at Shrublands
Miss Blush dressed as a nurse

Worst:
Connery in dungarees?
Hairpiece
A Ford Cortina in a Bond movie?
Stooopid video game scene
Connery's orange tan
Hairpiece

Some bits are buttock-clenchingly piss-poor and the rest just makes you think "WHY??!!"
