Capitals, comas and periods may improve your grades, Special Ed. :)

Dalton is my #2 Bond, after Sean Connery. :)

1.Sean Connery: The original, the best and in the best run of films in the series.

2.Timothy Dalton: A refreshing change from Roger's aging, light hearted campy approach. Closest to Flemming's Bond, imho.Good looking but not too handsome that you can't believe he could really be a secret agent.

3. George Lazenby: Young and inexperienced but did a bang up job for a rookie actor.Had the physical presence to match his predecessor.Had the right look for Bond but wrong attitude.

4. Roger Moore:The perfect Bond for the 70's.He just stayed too long. Very charming and very Brittish.Who says Safari suits aren't cool? :mad:

5.Pierce Brosnan: He has made the weakest films in the cannon, bar none. He plays Bond like a wounded bird at times and he looks like a model or a long lost bastard child of Blake Carrington. Should leave the series and join the cast of 'The Bold and the Beautiful'. :)

I'm exactly the same way as Righty. All the Bond's are good in one way or another.

Tim Dalton is #4 for me.

I do think that Timothy Dalton was that good even though he is not my favourite Bond actor. I pretty much agree with Righty007, except that I rate Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton equally.

1. Roger Moore
2. Sean Connery
3=Pierce Brosnan
3=Timothy Dalton

You're welcome Tarl
Dalton managed to take much of the camp out of the series in one performance! The look of rage on his face at the amusement park won me over. This was one man you don
't want mad at you.

He was a good contrast to the hugely popular and long reigning Moore, who BTW he complimented by saying that with such big campy films an actor w/ a good sense of self was needed.

Tim and George are at a distinct disadvantage, because they never had the time to prove their mettle, the way the other three did.

I don't dislike any of the actors. If Brosnan had only made GoldenEye then he would probably have been in the number two slot.

To me Dalton just rings true as an experienced spy/assassin (which is what Bond is) more than any of the other Bond actors.

Lazenby could have grown nicely into the role, but only had the one movie.

Thanks to Spike TV showing excessive Connery Bond, my ranking for each Bond has changed:

Dalton, Moore, Connery, Brosnan, Lazenby. They're all good, but Dalton still ranks highest on my list.

[COLOR=red]He's my #1. I think he is the closest to the literary Bond and I enjoy the more realistic, edgier Bond films, and I think hes are the best. [COLOR=red]

5) Moore (I'm sorry, but I just strongly prefer Roger as Simon Templar - that role suits him MUCH better, IMO)

My order:

Timothy Dalton
George Lazenby
Sean Connery
Pierce Brosnan
Roger Moore

I agree with most people that I don't dislike any of the actors it's just down to personal preference.

I used to think that Tim Dalton, along with Lazenby, were the worst of the Bonds, but I've grown to appreciate their films more now. If you ask people who have only seen 3 or 4 of the films, they'll probably say: Dalton sucked. George who? I was like that when I first started watching the films, because it was what everyone outside the Bond community was saying. Now that I've been a fan of the series for some time, I don't consider any of the Bonds are the worst, but I do think Sean was and always will be the best.

Dalton and Lazenby did do the least number of films, but that doesn't mean they're the worst. Roger did the most, and some of his were absoute twaddle (not to slam on the Moore fans here). Everyone assumes that because they did so few, Dalton and Lazenby weren't good enough to be Bond. Not true, I tell them.
