For a number of years I have relied on The Saintly Bible by Dan Bodenheimer at http://www.saint.org/ for the latest news and information concerning The Saint. Unfortunately, the site has not been updated since June 08, 2003.
Doing a quick search at Amazon, it appears that new copies of reprints of The Last Hero and The Saint and Mr. Teal are available. The rest of the books I could find appear to be previously owned copies.
The black and white episodes of The Saint have been released on DVD by Carlton video in the United Kingdom. Hopefully A&E will release the black & white episodes soon, but I have not read any rumors of when or if this will occur.

DLibrasnow, don't you end paying more money in shipping from the UK than the items you are purchasing originally cost?
But it's encouraging to know that A&E is still releasing cult television series from the UK on DVD and there is hope that they will eventually release the episodes from 1962 to 1965.
In meantime, hopefully, the series will return to the Encore Mystery channel or the episodes will be sold in syndication to another cable network in the United States.

One of my favourite Roger Moore Saint is call 'Vendetta For The Saint'. It was a double episode and is available on DVD. Roger really does show a 'harder' and 'tougher' side to him. I really love his dialogue with Ian Hendry DENO "take that anyway you like Templar", TEMPLAR "what ever you say Deno".
Cheers,
Ian

I don't know how the 1960's television incarnation compares with the character first published in 1928's Meet theTiger!. But I guess it's a good sign that there has been periodic interest in the character since he first appeared.
Leslie Charteris wrote over 100 novels featuring The Saint.
I would like to see the films starring Louis Hayward and George Sanders from the late 1930's and early 1940's.
From 1947 to 1951, Vincent Price portrayed the character in a radio series.
From 1953 to 1967 there was a Saint anthology magazine published ten times a year.
In addition to The Saint television series starring Roger Moore from 1962 to 1969, there was a television series starring Ian Ogilvy titled Return of the Saint from 1978 to 1979.
There were also television movies produced in 1987 and 1989, which I have never seen.
Let's try to forget the wretched movie starring Val Kilmer and Elizabeth Shue from 1997.

On another point, if there was ever a cinematic franchise waiting to supersede Bond, it's Charteris' Saint. Done correctly, faithful to the original character and doing away with all the silly gadgetry of the last movie, I reckon whoever holds the rights could produce a series of films to be proud of and ones the real fans would enjoy.
I guess the same could be said of Bond
