He might be good, but he could be to old by the time his opportunity comes around, he is already 40.

Hi guys. I'm wondering and I saw many times fans talking about Jason Isaacs being considered as a serious candidate for James Bond role.
Honestly I think that the man has everything with him to be 007, he is a terrific actor, has the looks, more like Sean Connery and Timothy Dalton, but I prefer him instead of Hugh Jackman.
I post this thread for us to discuss seriously about this, let's make some good thoughts on this guys.
bye

Bond....is...that cool person you know!

I am very impressed with Jason Isaacs and I would think that he would make a fantastic James Bond.

I was also thinking that it would be great if we finally saw 008 in Bond XXI portrayed by Isaacs.

(And two threads are now one. :))

Isaacs is my favourite for the next Bond. Dark Horse? Yes, but this man is closer to anyone I have ever seen to the man I picture in my head when I read Fleming. He needs a good hairpiece to make him perfect, and he

but we dont need a popular bond we need a good one. All the hype for the new bond will draw in a new crowd and make Isaacs popular.

I doubt Eon or MGM will see it that way. They see Dalton and Lazenby (the two lesser known replacement Bonds) as failures despite Dalton

But he has a good movie background:

The Tuxedo (awesome Bond like performance)
The Patriot
Harry Potter 2
Black Hawk Down
Resident Evil

and he is Captain Hook in the new Peter Pan movie !!!

if he does a good job in that , he may catch their eye.

The Tuxedo really opened my eyes to the possiblity that Jason Isaacs could play Bond. In a lot of scenes he reminded me of Dalton....

but a suaver version. I still think hes the man for the job.My favorite scene in the movie was when he was talking to the girl in the bug shop i think it was. But yeah thats what Bond should sound like in stead of girls just falling to there knees. In the books Bond had game, and he would talk to the girl instead of them just throwing themselves at him.

I also think that he would make a great Roland Marquis if they ever made a film version of Raymond Benson's High Time to Kill.

But I would like a James Bond film to feature the often mentioned 008. I think that Jason Isaacs would made a great choice as another Double O.

That only works in certain forums, by the way, to help us keep MGM pictures from being posted.

He would make a GREAT Bond villian. I think he's a good actor but not 007 material. Jackman scores again! :)

Sorry CommanderBond, but I don't think he'd be good for the role of Bond. I really can't say another actor who would be a better replacement either. None of them are really jumping out at me.

I just don't think he's got the right 'feel' to it. (I know I'm not making a lot of sense, but I really haven't seen anyone that does lately.) You know what I mean, when you see a celebrity and just say: "Now he's a James Bond."

well you cant do that nowadays , and I think thats EONs problem. They only go on weather he looks like he could be James Bond. If the pass on Isaacs, not only are the missing out on a possible great bond but a great actor.

Didn't he have an audition for the part before Brosnan became Bond?
I read that somewhere that he was one of the potentials and he had an (amazing) screen audition. I'm not sure.
I think he would be good but like Dalton only for three or four films

I dont think hed be like Dalton...I think hed be a lot better on just not sticking to one side of the character.Dalton was just serious all the time, I think Isaacs will pull of the comedy very well.

I didn't mean that I meant I think he'd only be good for a couple of Bond films and not 5 or 6 like Brosnan or Moore or Connery.

I said this in my very first post :

: I think Jason Isaacs should take the role...... Ive seen many of his movies but when we played in the tuxedo he had the suaveness that bond should have.......:

and I still stand by my words!!
