55 hours of Bond films will be show. Featuring two Spike TV premieres: "The World is not Enough" and The Living Daylights". Thanks to BM Message Board member The6thBond for the schedule.

Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 27 features "The Bond Sampler" - films featuring all five actors who have portrayed James Bond in the franchise.
Friday, Nov. 28 is "Connery Friday" - all the films featuring Sean Connery.
Saturday, Nov. 29 & Sunday, Nov. 30 is "Moore Weekend" - with all the films featuring Roger Moore.

I have DVDs....but it is fun to watch the marathons on TV too. It's better than all the football that will be on.

I don't know about not watching football on Thanksgiving, but I know what you mean about when the Bonds are on TV.

I used to feel the same way about already having them on tape (then). But when TBS used to have the marathons and my friend would always wanted to watch them I would make the point about already having them and he said there's a different vibe watching them on TV at work with friends. And he was right.

I do prefer to watch them on DVD uncut and in the best possible environment. But there's just something about it when Bond invades regular television.

I know my TV will be on all weekend. It's great when they have Bond marathons on TV because then I can just have it on in the background or take a break from the Thanksgiving chaos and watch part of the movie.

Thanks for posting this good buddy. I will certainly watch many of these.

I have strong indications I am getting the box set(s) DVDs for Christmas from Bond Girl #1. We shall see.

by watching Spikes bond marathons when it was TNN i became a bond fan. Id be glued to the t.v. set for hours around christmas time last year. Without that marathon i would be talking to you guys today.So thanks again thuffner.

Me. TV. James Bond. And that's all that's gonna happen when those films are on. There's just something fun about them when they're on TV. (A View To A Kill and Licence To Kill won't be on TNN/SPIKE because I think TBS still owns the rights.)

Hopfully, Spike will show TWINE uncut and not butcher it like CBS...

they cant show goldeneye because the USA channel has the rights to the film (broadcasting wise)

Right. Similarly, CBS still has the rights to show TND, and DAD is only just starting its run on premium cable, and won't filter down to SpikeTV (assuming they hang onto the rights) for years.

CBS very rarely shows it's runs of TND. Ever since ABC purchased the rights to the Bond films from TBs and then they have been tossed back to SPIKE/TNN, the Bond films have gotten quite a lot of attention on TV.

I think that they should sell the rights to Spike so that they all dont get separated like they are. If the Station wants to buy the rights to one bond movie it think that they should buy them all.

Tell that to TBS. I think they value their ownership of the couple Bond films very highly, the Bond films usually do very well on US tv.

I just saw the commercial for the marathon on Mtv (because they own Spike tv) and its called He Spies She Spies Bond Marathon. The ladys from She Spies are going to host the Marathon.

Although I always think it's excellent to have Bond on TV, once I went to VHS and then DVD, I haven't looked back. I love the widescreen, Dolby treatment that only DVD can provide, not to mention the lack of commerical interruptions.

I liked them in the past and saw some in the theater, but last year's marathon really got me hooked too!

Hey, thanks for the welcome! I'm glad I found this discussion board. I'm kind of surprised, I didn't expect to find this.... I think it's great! I'm looking forward to talking to people about Bond also.

Yeah I liked it. I prefer The Living Daylights though. That was the first Bond I ever saw on the big screen. What do you think of the two that he was in? Which to you prefer?

I perefer LTK because it was the first time in a while that you got to see a different side to bond, and i think the storyline was better than TLD.

I like Dalton as Bond, I think I enjoyed TLD more. It seems weird to have him resign in License to Kill.... I'm not saying I don't like it, but it just seemed different. I really enjoyed Moore as 007 though.... But he was looking a little old in AVTAK. But, I still liked it.

Moore isnt top on my list but hes tied for second....the only thing i disliked about him was that he was over funny. I love LALD thats one of my favorite Roger movies.

I like the way he plays the part. So who is at the top of your list? LALD is a great one, I really like TMWTGG. I also really enjoy FYEO.

Connery of course...but Pierce and Moore are tied for second and then its Dalton ad then Lazenby.
