Argentina (and Chile) would be great. The women are amazing there and there is a high class atmosphere perfect for a Bond film; it would be cool to see him dance the Tango in an 'official' Bond film. And nearby Punta Del Este Uruguay is another ideal place(casinos).

Welcome to CBn, coopbond. I want him to come to the US again. I don't care where, just somewhere in the US. I believe the last time he was here was in Licence to Kill (1989). Here are the few places in the US he has traveled to:

Goldfinger: Miami Beach, Florida; Kentucky
Diamonds Are Forever: Las Vagas, Nevada
Live and Let Die: New Orleans, Louisiana; NYC, New York
Moonraker: California
A View to a Kill: California
Licence to Kill: Key West, Florida

Personally, I think Australia is a must. I am surprised that Bond has not been there yet. I also think that Ireland would be a very good location now that the troubles have died down. Pierce would be very happy for sure.

There are several locations that I would like to see in new James Bond film:

I don't think that a Bond film has been to Scandinavia. I would particularly like to see Stockholm and other areas within Sweden as the location for a Bond film. I haven't seen Stockholm in a motion picture since Michael Apted's Gorky Park in 1983, which doubled for Moscow.

Although Amadeus, Mission Impossible, Blade II: Blood Hunt, and XXX have already shot there, I think that Prague in the Czech Republic is a very photogenic place for a James Bond film.

Mexico as Mexico would be an interesting location for James Bond film, as opposed to as a facsimile to Panama called Isthmus and Isthmus City.
Mexico City has some interesting areas, there is also the Yucatan with its Mayan ruins and the Riveira Maya with Cancun and Cozumel island would make stunning locations.

Rome and Milan would make interesting locations. After watching Hannibal, I think that Florence and Tuscany would be great locations for Bond.

I also wouldn't mind seeing more of Spain. We saw very little of Barcelona in The World is Not Enough except for the Gugenheim museum. There's also Madrid. I also understand that Marbella is a playground for the rich and famous, with Roger Moore and Sean Connery both having homes in this city.

Indonesia would be a great location.

I would also like to see James Bond in Laos or Cambodia among the Khmer ruins. So what if Lara Croft already beat Bond there.

There's also Malayasia with Kuala Lumpur and the city state of Singapore. Perhaps James Bond could discover the fate of 0011 who was mentioned as missing in Singapore in the novel Moonraker?

Kenya might be a cool place to see.

How about South Africa? Johnannesburg and Sun City would be interesting locations. The Palace of the Lost City hotel in Sun City is simply stunning!

How about Canada? Zencat has already written a treatment that occurs in Montreal. I wouldn't mind seeing Vancouver as Vancouver or the Whistler/Blackcomb resort in British Columbia.

Israel

Italy (esp. Rome)

Japan

London (if they opened it up a bit instead of just showing us Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament - a chase through Soho might be nice; or, heck, how about scenes elsewhere in the UK? We don't only have London, you know!)

Pakistan

Portugal (esp. Lisbon)

Saudi Arabia

Overused locations I really don't want to see again for a long time:

Caribbean

Russia (and other countries in the Commie or formerly Commie world)

South of France

United States

I concur with Australia...I think that is a must.

If he were to come back to the US. I'd say either Chicago or Texas would provide interesting locales.

If we do see Australia in a future James Bond film, I hope that its another city besides Sydney. I believe that we have seen enough of Sydney in The Matrix and Mission Impossible 2. I've also had my fill of Ayers Rock (Uluru).

How about Brisbane and the Sunshine/Gold Coast? Or how about Cairns, the tropical north of Queensland, and the Great Barrier Reef?

Australia is the sixth largest country in the world and about the size of the lower 48 states of the United States. With that much territory, there must be something new and interesting that audiences outside of Australia have never seen before.

scandanavia:

my dad has lived in copenhagen since 1971...its got some pretty interesting locations

italy:

i saw 'under the tuscan sun' last weekend. the cinematography of tuscany and of positano was amazing...the winding cliff roads by the edge of the sea made me think of bond

Canada:

M nearly sent bond here in THUNDERBALL. its time to bring him here. (in 2001, conde' naste traveller, a uk publication, rated this country as the number one place to vacation in the world)

US

also, brosnanBond's never been to the US. its time.

we've had enough of the far east and eastern europe in the last 4.

its time for the americas, not just the north, to have its place in the sun.

that, and south africa or australia / indian ocean area (seychelles ("the hildebrand rarity", anyone?) or maldives)

Africa

US - Would love to see Bond in Seattle or LA, maybe a return to Vegas. Hawaii needs to be used. I've got a good volcano joke for a scene.

Japan

South America - Argentina sounds good.

Bermuda might be fun.

Wouldn't mind seeing Bond back in Jamaica either.

I'd like to see Australia as well, maybe the villain's lair could be deep in the outback. Africa would also be a good choice, as would Canada. Maybe a boat chase on Thunder Bay.

Well, I was just vacationingin Scnadinavia, and Copenhagen and Helsinki are wonderful cities for Bond. Stockholm would be nice, too. How about Rome? Prague? Budapest? In Africa, why not South Africa? Johannesburg would be perfect. In the US, how about Chicago (tribute to Raymond Benson???)? In Canada, Montreal, Quebec City, Vancouver, or Toronto. South America would be appropriate, too. Buenos Aires??? I like the idea of Indonesia, too, although the Asia idea has been done enough, unless they go to China (the real thing would be nice!)

*Let's sing*

New York New York / It's a helluva a town / the Bronx is up / and the Battery's Down / New York New York / It's a helluva a town!

OK...so besides my home town...:)

Los Angeles would be interesting.

For all the reasons listed above, I wouldn't mind seeing Bond back in the Carribbean.

Maybe Washington DC too.

My backyard seems more interesting than the places in the last few movies. They could film boat chases using miniatures in my swimming pool,or in winter, a chase on a frozen lake. ; )

There are some very interesting areas they could go to in Australia as it has a lot of climates around the country. From desert to rain forest, you'll find it.

I doubt they'd go for the Great Barrier Reef as McClory intended to.

There are some very lush forests around that could serve as a very good location, paritularily those in Victoria and Queensland.

After TWINE, I remarked that I'd like to see Bond in an arctic locale, possibly Iceland. So, I really have nothing to add here. :)

But hasn't Brosnan been pushing for Ireland to be featured as a major location for some time now?

Also, since this doesn't really fit into any other thread...

Is there any particular reason why we're not getting a new Bond until 2005? Surely Brosnan didn't ask for a 3 year delay twice in a row?

I would love to see Bond back in the USA, it's been too long and Brosnan's Bond hasn't been there at all. Also, I would love to see Brosnan's Bond get a chance to film in Ireland.

In my plot idea, the movie would take place in Ireland, Stockholm, and Atlanta (at the Centers for Disease Control offices). Just an idea of course.

I would like to see LISBON (Portugal) and AZORES Islands (Portugal) on a New James Bond Film (remember there's a NATO airbase in Azores, that could be used with some motif). I do not want to see another winter location in the next 2 or 3 films - snowy icy places were overused in the last films. I want to see the REAL locations... and Africa could be terrific, with safaris and stuff... The producers must go to places were NO OTHER production went in the past decade, even that will push production costs on a very high scale... I rather see tremendous places I never saw on film than predictable and horrendous costly F/X effects... Why not allocate the budget, preferably on production sites and locations and less on special effects... At least this film must have ONE incredible action sequence, but a real one, with STUNTS and performed on location. The last good stunt I saw on a Bond film was the bungee jumping of GOLDENEYE and, of course, the truck sequence from License to Kill (and the aerial and aquatic footage) and the unforgettable climax from The Living Daylights (atop the C130). That was tremendous exciting and was done on location. PLEASE GIVE US INCREDIBLE STUNTS PERFORMED FOR REAL ON GORGEOUS AND NEVER SEEN LOCATIONS

Bond should go back to India, or somewhere in the heart of the Middleast, a place quite primitive, but has no boundaries. Place of wanted radical change, but corruptness of authority. Stricken and neglected from the Western world. More violent, and dangerous.

Also a another suggested location........Christmas Island, let have another Baron Samedi...hehe!

I always thought that it would be cool for a boat chase located at the Grand Canyon.
