I have always felt the way those two talk about each other.. and how they talk about working on the Bond Films..

That Roger & Maude slept together in real life.. while they were making TMWTGG.. (probably) but for sure years before OR when Octopussy was being shot.

They just talk about each other in a waaaay to loving caring way.. not a actor/actor way.. or even a friend/friend way.

I know those two were married at the time ..

BUT...

I think those 2 did it

LOL
:)

anyone else get that vibe?

I remember some Bond site from several years back where they had rumors of who slept with who on the sets back then, and Roger and Maude were way up near the top. So was Connery and Claudine Auger and Connery and Jill St. John. Catty stuff.

The site was called ‘What About Moneypenny’. It was a fantastic site. The one thing I remember clearly from it was that was that Lazenby got the most action by far, including a wild extended weekend with Joanna Lumley.

Well, Lazenby was a bit of a swinger back then. He was basically proclaiming he was better than Bond in the sack, during his interviews back then. He even bragged that he had done things that Bond himself had never done.

True. For one thing, Lazenby apparently slept with more of the women of Piz Gloria than Bond did.

Nope. Sorry, it’s long gone. :) I’ve even tried to track down who the webmaster was, but thus far I have had no luck.

Great thread. I've never really considered this before but rewatching the docu's, it's glaringly obvious that something went on. I would have loved to have seen that site, shame it's not around anymore.

I can understand why you think that Roger and Maud might have slept together in real life. There was certainly a great chemistry between the two of them in Octopussy, there scenes together were very good.

I have seen them interviewed together and they did seem very friendly. Did they sleep together? I don't know, but I would not be surprised if they did.

Yes, Roger was married to his third wife Luisa at the time he made TMWTGG. They had three children together and the third one ( Christian ) was born around about 1974.

So, I think that answers the question as to whether Roger had sex with Maud Adams or not...Clearly he was married at the time so he didn't.

If Roger and Maud ever did sleep together I believe it would have been sometime in the 1980's and not in the 1970's when TMWTGG was made.

But wasn't Roger still married in the 1980s? When did he leave Luisa?

geez, bro...u naive or something?

perhaps you're well grounded morally and ethically....but do u really think a guy as handsome and famous as rog was between 1974 and 1983 did'nt stray if he was tempted by delicious young flesh?

he may have been THE SAINT...but i'm sure he wasnt exactly A SAINT...
come on, brother!!!

Thanks, Darren. I like to think that this was the case too.

Not a thread that Rog would like to read, I'm guessing.

And if I may ask...does it really matter?

Maybe Roger and Maud are very good actors (and I think good friends in real life) and they could ACT and put on this show of chemistry for the cameras that never went anyone else. I mean, come on, no one ever thought Pierce Brosnan and Renee Russo slept together, and look at the chemistry they had going on in TCA!

Folks, we make our jokes about Roger...but he can act, and as Bond he created a character that was involved with Maud's characters. And Maud, being the great actress she is, managed to create two distinct characters who were attached to Bond in different ways.

Yeah I think they were both married.. But I still think they had sex.

I mean lets be honest.. Roger did cheat on his wife with her friend;)

I think Roger is the type of man that wouldn't throw it in her face.. but got a little 007 tail on the side

Really, this thread disturbs me....
Why marry someone if you still want to play the field....?

Well, some people just don't take marriage as seriously as other people. I might be wrong here, but look at Ian Fleming. He wasn't exactly domestified. He and his wife are rumored to have messed around on the side after their marriage. It's not nice, but it happens.

A cracking supposition there.

Is that to suggest that playing around outside of a marriage doesn't exist at all, or just to say that Roger doesn't/didn't do it?

Also, is that to suggest that he never played around, because if so, there is a fairly "argument-crunching" seven years since he started with Louisa while married to Dorothy Squires to the time he managed to get a divorce and subsequently marry her.

Not that I am suggesting he and Maud fooled around. I believe at the time he might still have been happily married but following the marriage collapse, Maud would have been my vote as to who would have stepped. (said he, in a less than romantic fashion, sorry)

Well I am engaged to be married and that's a decision I have made because I want to spend my life with someone and have that one person as my only partner and best friend.
If I still wanted to play the field I wouldn't be engaged right now....

So, my point is simply - why be married if you want to play the field?

But your decision doesn't necessarily reflect that of the rest of the world.

(We can probably remove the word, "necessarily".)

This is a rather dicey thread, but since I recently posted a lot of stuff on Dalton's personal life, I can hardly make judgments.

Anyway, personally I've always thought that if Roger did stray during his Bond tenure, Maud was one of the more likely women.

And I've always thought that marital fidelity in the film business is an extremely rare quality, especially on film sets where people work intensely together for months and become very close. The marriage commitment unfortunately is not regarded in the same way by everyone. Fortunately, in my former marriage, we did not have to deal with infidelity, tho we were both seriously tempted more than once.

Oh, by the way, I have an issue of HELLO magazine from a few years back with Pierce, Keeley and their baby on the cover. There's a big spread on their family life, nice photos of Pierce at home, etc. In that same issue there's a rather sensational story with Luisa, Moore's ex-wife, openly dishing out a lot of disturbing stuff about Roger. I won't go into detail here but you'll get the drift when she's quoted as saying that she tells her children that their father (Roger) will always be welcomed to visit them at their home but that she refuses to personally welcome him when he visits. She sounds quite bitter about him.

But time tends to colour things differently - hopefully there won't be any epilogue from yourself ten years down the line, but who really can tell.

i felt the same way as you going into my marriage...but with time temptatation can get the better of people...

this happens in real life....and even more so in hollywood-y circles where sexual morality is'nt the virtue most people aspire to
