Does anyone else think that Elizabeth Hurley would make a great Bond girl? I think that she has just what it would take, I mean she definatley has the looks, and her acting capability is brilliant, she can perform comedic roles (Austin Powers, Mike Myers), Serious/Action roles (Passenger 57, Wesley Snipes), and whatever Bedazzled is all about (have not seen it). She would also be a good choice because I do not believe Bond has had a British Bond girl too lately (I dont think Elektra was British like her father).

She's looks GREAT!

She does look great. Bloody great. One of the most attractive women in showbiz IMO.

And to go with the looks, the fact that she can act better than Denise Richards :) But creidt to Richards, she didn't exactly have a well writeen character to work with!

Ive just checked Amazons.co.uk's Goldeneye SE page, and the Elizabeth Hurley feature is on. She's made her way into Goldeneye - who thinks she should maker her way to Bond xx?

Cheers Zencat, im buying the new Box set anyways so i guess i'll see it soon. Is the box set out yet (in UK?). BTW Zencat what do u think of Hurley as a Bond girl?

The new UK box set shows a release date of Nov. 5, 2001 on Amazon.co.uk. Now, I know the Hurley doc is on the U.S. DVD of GoldenEye, but I can't say for sure if it's on the UK. I know there are differences, so be warned. Maybe someone who has the UK GoldenEye DVD can tell us both.

I love Elizabeth Hurley and would have no problems seeing her as a Bond girl. Yes, it would be nice to see Bond hook up with an English girl for a change. Maybe she could be policewoman Gala Brand!?

I can remember hearing the same rumours, lets hope they turn out true for Bond XX.

I remember hearing rumours of her becoming a Bond girl dating back to Goldeneye. And she did host a television program about Bond a few years back (maybe circa TND).

I was just organising my videotape library and I came across a unlabeled tape (I don't own a DVD player yet.) I stuck it in the VCR and their she was. Elizabeth Hurley in the The World Of James Bond. I don't even remember taping it. But Miss Hurley looked stunning. Her hair, pulled up in a sixties style pseudo-beehive, was reminiscent of Diana Rigg in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I've always thought Elizabeth Hurley was drool worthy as a '90s/'00s girl, but all dolled up in this '60s look made me cower before her womanhood.

ShockTroop22 (28 Oct, 2001 08:32 p.m.):
And as for the Hurley Goldeneye rumours, does anyone know if she was "rumoured" to be Natalya, or Xenia? (or both)

As for the rumours, as I recall her just being rumoured to be a 'Bond girl'. Never for a specific roll. It may have had to do with her appearance in the Bond special.

And the tape, it's labelled now.

If EON could make her character completely different than Austin Powers (in every was possible, only leaving her character as still being female), then i think she would make a great casting choice.

Yes, but there can't be many who can act worse than her so that is not a hard accomplishment.

I think Elizabeth Hurely would be great as the leading girl in Bond 20.

For sure she looks amazing
but like Trevelyan i think that she is a part of the Austin Powers Family.

May be it s too late for her to be a bond girl.

but why not if she has a well written character.

I don't think Austin Powers would pop up because they'd be very different characters. I can already imagine her in Mary Goodnights bikini *yum*

I wouldn't like it, a little to 'Austin Powers' to me. I'd keep thinking her as a fembot.

Does anyone know who else was up for the role of Dr. Jones in TWINE?
And as for the Hurley Goldeneye rumours, does anyone know if she was "rumoured" to be Natalya, or Xenia? (or both)
If she did end up in Bond 20, I think that her character should be a female MI6 agent (Similar to Mary Goodnight, but better). Her and Bond could be sent on a mission together, like 006 did with Bond at the start of Goldeneye.
