My absolute favorite would be Jack Lord's character in Dr. No. He played the character so well. Another one of my favorites is also David Hedison in Live and Let Die. I like the idea of Felix always having to clean up the destruction that 007 has caused :).

What's your favorite?

The "A genuine Felix Leiter... Illuminating!" sequence from LALD is the best.

I absolutley loved him in TLD............(sarcasm). I like Jack Lord's portrayal the best. Cool and suave...........the shades make it all happen.

My favourite Felix was Rick van Nutter. The best Felix moment is THUNDERBALL in the hotel room, with the would-be assailant in his bathroom. Excellent.

My favorite Felix is David Hedison. My favorite Felix Leiter scenes are probably the one's from Live and Let Die. I know you can't just glue the wings back on...LOL!

Jack Lord rules!! The only problem with DN is that he doesn't appear enough in it!

Oddly enough, my favorite moment with Felix Leiter is one of the least important in the series, but always makes me smile. It's the scene in Licence to Kill when, in the pre-title sequence, Bond and Leiter go after Sanchez in the Bahamas. After the shootout begins and temporarily halts, Leiter yells from the tall grass a couple of meters away, "Hey, Observer! You tryin' to get yourself killed?!" to which Bond replies "If I don't get you back to the wedding, I'm a dead man for sure!" and the Bond theme rolls under it and Leiter waves him off. Great moment.

Hey, I like that scene too. Nice little exchange, adds to the depiction of their friendship. It's a pity that Hedison wasn't given the damned script before he started filming. He had no time to study the storyline and his character's significance in it. On the LTK dvd, he says he wishes he could do it all over, he didn't feel at all prepared.

I think that my favorite Felix Leiter moment was Jack Lord's character meeting Bond for the first time in Dr. No. "Gently, bud gently" In my opinion Lord was my favorite Felix Leiter, followed closely by Rik Van Nutter (Thunderball). My least favorite would have to be John Terry (The Living Daylights). There really wasn't much to those two short scenes with Leiter in that movie.

Even though he bore no resemblance to the character Fleming described, Cec Linder's aging workaday operative in GF was wonderfully droll ("I told the stewardess, liquor for three." "Thanks, Felix. Who are the other two?" "Oh, there are no other two...").

Jack Lord and David Hedison for me. In DN, Leiter looks as smooth and sharp as Bond himself. In LTK, when Bond finds Leiter after his shark-mauling, I found myself thinking back to the comparatively light-hearted LALD and feeling that the real world had caught up with Bond. Bizarre really because this sequence occurs in LALD the book.

I personally think Hedison was the best in LALD but i do not understans what is so good about Jack Lord. To me, he was't in the movie enough to make an impact on me.

Although he was fairly dull and he's not my favourite, I quite like Norman Burton's irritation with Sean in DAF

"Do you MIND if we find Blofeld first?!"

"Mr. And Mrs. Jones???"

and "Willard Whyte is about to be executed and guess who's giving swimming lessons.."

John Terry was a complete non-entity, David Hedison was good in LALD (His look of exasparation as Roger serenely glides up the bayou after the havoc of the boat chase is wonderful),although a tad elderly by LTK. However I think I'd have to go with Jack Lord for sheer coolness and believability as a CIA agent.

One word says it all: pimpmobile.

Thanks for bringing that up because until a few minutes ago (when I looked it up), I couldn't make out the whole sentence.

"Get me a make on a white Pimpmobile, license number 347 Nelson David George."

I could never make out "make" and I always thought 347 Nelson David George was an address for some reason but now I know the license plate number was 347 NDG.

I actually had Hedison sign a still to me at a convention "To Charles, get me the make on a white pimpmobile."

It rocks. Delmo got me the still of him on the phone. It's perfect.

David Hedison has always been my favorite Felix, but I think Jeffrey Wright might become my new favorite. I enjoyed his performance in Casino Royale and can't wait to see what happens with him in Quantum Of Solace.

My favorite moment of his would have to be when he says "Does it look like we need the money?". His delivery of the line was perfect.

My favorite Felix Leiter moment is when he orders the martini in CASINO ROYALE. Wright's delivery of the line "My friend, bring me one as well, keep the fruit" is classic, and his reaction when he sees how annoyed Le Chiffre has become is also great.

I can't believe I forgot to mention that one. Another brilliantly delivered line by Jeffrey Wright. Truly a great Felix moment.

Definitely my favorite Felix moment as well as my favorite actor in the role. Prior to Jeffrey Wright I like Jack Lord's performance in DR. NO the best. His Leiter always seemed the most competent, the one most likely to be friends with Bond.

Bond and Felix in there underclothes pretending to be boxer and trainer to escape the crime scene in Never Say Never Again.

Hedison may be my favourite Leiter, but Connery and Casey had the best chemistry of any Bond/Leiter duo.
