In Topic: BOND 25 confirmed for 2019 release

25 July 2017 - 09:39 PM

So the real news here is that we get to wait another full two years to see another mediocre (at best) storyline by the gruesome twosome. And that´s that.

Now comes speculation about the 51years old (by then) Craig returning or not; and about studio wars.

If 2014/2015 was a great time for being a Bond fan, now we´re lost at sea, drifting on currents and winds made by the splashing naked sunburned feet of people with money and little taste and knowledge. Blast.

But then again, if Craig returned for his YOLT-done-right, I´d be happy. One never learns. One still thinks one can dream.

With well over two years to release - and over a year until production even starts shooting - and hardly anything known beyond the release date literally anything can still happen with BOND 25. There could be noumerous scripts and rewrites by P & W and others. The entire concept might change and change again, depending on the director. There's even a possibility for that YOLT adaptation some fans would like to see finally.

Being this far away from its premiere has also an upside for BOND 25. Good things, too, could happen.

True, Dustin. Very true. Hope springs eternal ;)

What a beggared and poorer word we live in now. Truly a fantastic gentleman. I´m at a loss for words. I´ll be in silence for the rest of the day.

Why didn´t they do it with Napoleon? That little, weird man? Myth and psyche go a long way.

But actually...they did it with Napoleon, didn't they? Not a single step he wasn't contested, he just proved himself the better strategist. Until one day he didn't...

True. Very true. And yes, his demise against the Russian winter had the same root as his verve: ambition.

And I do agree wee need a surprise actor to play a villain. Can´t believe their lack of imagination. Mads and Almaric were superb choices as far as casting goes. Well, maybe Mads was. The order should be: first a Bond villain, then always glued to the villainous role. Not the other way around.

That being said, yes, now that you mention it, I did find Quantum to be more scarier than Spectre. Mr. White was had a ghostly presence that conveyed that "big brother" paranoia sensation that is essencial to an evil org on film.
