Check it out. I bought this online, thinking is was the familiar proof art that we've seen on Amazon.com, but much to my surprised (and delight) this is completely different proof art for the UK paperback. It's very nice. The scan doesn't show it, but it's done in that same nice textured style like the release paperback art.

Once again Zencat, you manage to find the treasures that MGM has tossed aside.

I have to say, this image has grown on me. Anyone know of any truth to the rumor that the smoke rising from the barrel was supposed to reveal a half profile of Pierce? I recall reading something to that effect on one of the sites after the poster was released.

Ah, how I wish MGM would let Benson write a book first, and a worthless piece of promo **** second (haven't read DAD, but according to my recollection of TND and TWINE...).

I also hate the garish '007' which touches every novelisation and screams 'It's Bond, you jerk!' as if we were all morons who only looked at books for their covers.

Proof jackets for the hardcovers, yes. I only have TWINE, but I've seen the TND.
