ComingSoon.net and Deadline Hollywood (links to original article below) are reporting that Michelle Yeoh (Wai Lin in "Tomorrow Never Dies") has been cast in the upcoming "Star Trek: Discovery" series.
The ComingSoon.net article (http://www.comingsoo...-trek-discovery) mentioned that "Discovery" consulting producer Nicholas Meyer said "I know Michelle Yeoh is in it" when asked about "Discovery" during an interview on the Blu-Ray release of his 1979 film "Time After Time."
The Deadline Hollywood article (http://deadline.com/...ain-1201859554/) notes that Yeoh's character will be named Han Bo, captain of the Shenzhou, a ship set to play a big role in the show's first season.
It should be noted, however, that CBS Television Studios (the producers of "Star Trek: Discovery") have yet to officially confirm the casting.
"Star Trek: Discovery" is set to premiere in May 2017 on CBS Television Network stations before switching exclusively to the network's AllAccess streaming service in the U.S., BellMedia outlets in Canada and Netflix in 188 other countries worldwide.

Variety magazine reports that CBS will premiere "Star Trek: Discovery" on September 24th at 8:30 PM EST/7:30 PM CST, although the time is approximate due to a scheduled NFL telecast and the long-running newsmagazine "60 Minutes" set to air that night as well.
