As we are no doubt desperate for bond 25 news I found this on another forum and it could be legit?

At least it's something new to talk about

I've heard something different, but can't talk about it.

Taboo, Peaky Blinders and his several other projects would surely count him out, As much as I'd like to see him tackle Bond, the man only has so much time in the day.

While you can't discuss it have you heard son are moving on with bond 25 or have you heard that they are still counting the money Spectre earned them.

What about a small hint/clue?

Indeed, spill the beans, Stromberg ;)

As for Knight, sure he's a busy man, but i wouldn't count him out for that reason. He's certainly flavour of the month and i enjoy Peaky Blinders (though the recent finale ep was a little bashed together in the final act) and Locke is an outstanding piece of work (though i don't know the script/improvisation ratio there).

An interesting thing to note would be Knight's working relationship with Hardy. i could see Knight writing a role for Hardy, If not as Bond then perhaps the villain.

I received the information confidential, so I can't say much. The guy who told me is trustworthy, but I don't really know about his source.

What I heard is (among other things) that, regarding the script, there'll be no surprises, no experiments and certainly no writers "du jour". Hope you catch my drift (it's as easy as 1 + 1).

An interesting part of the information may or may not make the news (maybe trade papers only). If this happens, I'll take it as a confirmation for the rest of the story (but going to keep in mind that during the production process anything can happen)...

All I can tell about it.

I think I get your drift and have possibly worked out the particular, unsurprising two in question.

Same.  Hopefully to do the story (their strongest suit) and have the dialogue (their weakest suit, IMO) redrafted; perhaps the latter is where Knight would come in?

'Weakest suit'  is putting it mildly...

Maybe word is out that Craig is gone so it's hard to find quality writers willing to commit to a vehicle for the newbie. Being early days hopefully 1+1 (= -1) have been drafted in just to brainstorm ideas, rather than 'write' the script.

I'm okay if they provide the structure and ideas that will fuel the rest, and having Knight on board would be great.

For me their plotting is god awful - things hang together by a thread, if that with pastiche of the canon standing in for story and set pieces.

Knight would be a step up. He's shown with Peaky Blinders that he can imbue the characters with an inner life that motivates the story and fuels the drama; something that's alluded P&W except for in the broadest possible strokes more suited to daytime tv..

If Knight's involved i can only imagine him picking what he likes from the hypothetical work of '1+1' and using that as a possible springboard for his own story.

Then again if the paycheque's big enough maybe he would be willing to just cross the Ts etc. after all, affording him the 'rest' time brainstorm his own stuff.

I love this.

And although I have said it a myriad times: nobody knows the script by watching the movie.  So don´t blame any writer unless you have read every draft knowing what the writer had to change or incorporate due to the demands of anybody else.

The important thing is that people involved love Bond, know Bond and are easy to work with.

I find this bit very intriguing. So, other than a certain twosome writing the script, there is another element to this. Something that the mainstream media wouldn't be too interested in but the trade press might.

To me, this suggests that they are working on an idea concocted by someone else and you know who that is.

Am I thinking in the right direction here, a 'yes' or 'no' will do?

Wrong track here. That bit of information I mentioned is not about the B25 script.

Thanks Stromberg. Is this info concerning the B25 project in general (i.e. not the script in particular) or another film altogether?

Or is it related to the script and therefore hinting at a certain novel to be adapted?

Or perhaps a non-Bond 1+1 / Eon collaboration.

My bet: It's the retirement of a long-time Bond producer (and perhaps the promotion of his son?).

Huge deal for the fans, but most others probably won't notice.

I don't mind if bond 25 is written by Purvis Wade and Knight. Unlike others it wouldn't be too bad plus Greg stepping up seems obvious as well but quite good

Like I said I am fine with all of this hoping though Craig does come back for one more

Should have kept my mouth shut (or better kept sitting on my hands)...

It has nothing to do with B25 at all or with the retirement of a certain producer or with the future of the franchise (but it could have an influence on future moves). And it's not a thing which triggers big announcements.

Let´s stop hassling Mr. Stromberg.  Things are in motion, and that means everything can change.

An official announcement will come sooner or later.  Enjoy the summer (or what´s been called summer).

If there was substantial news on this it would likely by now have replaced the clickbait stories. As is nothing seems to have changed in any significant way. But it seems a no-brainer that, somewhere backstage, somebody is already working in some form on a possible script for the next entry, whenever that may come. Until then...

Intriguing. I have absolutely no idea what Stromberg is talking about but this is better than no news at all.

At least something is happening behind the scenes
