I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the supposed new series? Is it still stalled or cancelled?

The pilot (filmed in 2013) was never picked up. Apparently there is a new series in development but will not be the Adam Raynor series.

Would be keen on a new series for TV or the big screen-great character who has been ignored too long!

Follow up question:

For anyone in the know, who've read the series...when does the Saint stop acting like a flamboyant fop?

After reading Enter The Saint, The Saint Closes the Case, and The Avenging Saint, I'm kinda done reading about The Saint acting like a fairy. (Apologies, I intended to make no offence.) Especially when he's calling his enemies Angel Face, Dear Heart, My Lovely...etc. I highly doubt even in the late twenties anyone spoke like that.

It fades out across the 1930s, starting with the likes of The Saint in New York. By the time of Prelude for War, and with Hitler on the horizon, the Saint has grown up a bit.

I read in Coming Soon that Paramount is making the new The Saint movie. I don't have any suggest who should play him. But I want him in a British iconic car. No new Volvo with 4 cylinder engine.  Bentley, Jaguar Aston Martin or any British brand for him.

As long as they can do it without making him a clone of Bond or Bourne. Templar, done right, has his own charm and personality and I'd love to see them make him stand out from the action movie crowd in some way.

Use throwing knives a la Willie Garvin like early novels to create individual niche

ST even named an individual blade a la Richard Benson/ The Avenger
