Timothy Dalton was James Bond when I was born, that is 1986, the year before The Living Daylights was released. And he is my #1 favorite Bond actor!   :)

Bond fans are now 10 years old when they were born when Daniel Craig was Bond. But if you were born in the early 1990's, Dalton was still Bond until 1994.

Brosnan era born fans are now all grown up.

I was born in Moonraker A.D. so Roger Moore was Bond for the first six years of my life. But it was about 1990 (License to Kill A.D. plus one) before I got into it all, so Dalton was technically the active Bond, and Brosnan was the first I saw in the theatre. My son was born into the golden age of Daniel Craig.

Lessee - Connery started shortly after I was born, so technically that makes Barry Nelson still the one.

When I was born, the first James Bond novel hadn't even been written.

Sean, but it was late '67, so technically, he was done with the role initially. I guess I should count any of CR '67 Bonds. There were a lot of Bonds in 1967. First big screen Bond was Roger for me. My years of Bond fandom and own age caught up with me when Craig got the role. First time in my life the "New Bond" was younger than me if only by a few months.

Born a year before Dr. No, so to answer the topic question I guess it could be Barry Nelson.

.... But Barry Nelson played "Jimmy" Bond: an american spy. So not really the same character, IMO.

No matter - I didn't see Bond until Connery made his first comeback in '71.

I'm from 1968 (the first day of the year!) so.... was Lazenby already chosen to play Bond right than?

SC before YOLT - he was bored with the role and wanted more money. At least that's my excuse for being often broke and frequently boring........:)

I was born in 1955, so Barry Nelson was James Bond - but not really James Bond.

1965, the year of Thunderball's release, so Sean Connery. Appropriately became my favorite 007 (albeit with close competition from Dalton in later years), though I started watching the movies during the Moore era with The Spy Who Loved Me.

I was a Barry baby too (I know his Bond isn't "The Bond" but I think Fleming gave CBS the rights to use Bond, so I'm counting him).  First actual Bond film I remember seeing was the Niven and about a dozen others in the spoof CR on TV.  The first time I saw Bondat the movies that guy that played Lord Brett Sinclair was playing him.

But it's Dalton that nailed the role, for me.

Conceived during Connery, born with Lazenby, but Moore was my first Bond.  Dalton my favorite.

Roger had Live and Let Die under his belt-1974. Never saw a Bond movie until 1983 though-Octopussy. After that it was all on!

Roger Moore was no longer Bond in 1986, so Timothy Dalton is more like your birth Bond.

Born: Sept. 1990.

So Dalton was still Bond when I was born, but I grew up in the Brosnan era and will always remember the first time I saw GoldenEye!
