Agent X premiered on the U.S. TNT cable channel last night. Watched the first two episodes, not bad. Here are the details on the series:

I'll try it out, based on your comment.  When I learned of the premise (secret clause in the US Constitution providing for a very secret agent) I was not enthused, and the actor playing Agent X (really ?  "Agent X" ?) yielded only a "Meh" from me.  Furthermore, the big original broadcast networks rarely produce as well as AMC, Fx, HBO, Starz, etc.  But I'll give it a shot.

Speaking of those other networks, any of them could do such a fine job -- with the right producers, etc., of course -- with The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Derek Flint (the key is to go waaay over the top), or Matt Helm (either version -- the gritty Helm of the novels, or the wild Helm of the films, or both !  Same actor, different actor, go for broke and produce both, alternating !  The novels could work for arcs of two or three episodes), and John D. McDonald's Travis McGee could go this way, too.  Additionally:  Dashiell Hammett's stories and novels, Raymond Chandler's.  They could be produced now in an, adult non-censored manner.
