Amazing. Almost feels like we've seen Mallory come full circle from where he started in the beginning of Skyfall.

Denbigh seems to be enjoying M's discomfort - M lapses into bad language, though not quite the same as his predecessor managed in SF. ;-)
Pure speculation - not a spoiler - but one way or another I think Andrew Scott's character is a wrong 'un.

If nothing else it settles, belatedly, the "who said it" arguement.

I speculated in another thread that he was working for SPECTRE and this was their way of getting rid of their nemesis. Reminiscent of QOS when Mr. White said "we have people everywhere"

anyone notice a theme here? Skyfall had the PM force M out of the secret service and now the PM shutdown the 00 program.....

And this is their way of proving it?
Not only is he a "cocky little...." but he hasn't even got the name right. It's the Double-O section, not "programme".
One more thing. Remember in GE when M was the "evil queen of numbers", unconvinced about the relevance of Bond? Shades of that with Denbigh? Whereas the new M seems to be turning into an "old" M after all.

Some saddos on twitter have got their knickers in a twist over the 'cocky little bastard' line. I cant decide if this is pathetic or hilarious.

Love the fact that they also had the wonderful Nikki van der Zyl on the show.

Here we go - our first clip.
Love how Fiennes plays this. Gruesome smile. Wonderful!

Looks fine to me - I also like the music Newman has here.

Yes, Fiennes looks fine to me also!
And Scott's character looks at this stage like the junior manager who has suddenly been promoted over the heads of everyone else in the office, and is enjoying every minute of reminding them of it!

Still disappointed with the dull look they have given this film though.

To be clear - partly voiced over by the reporter - but hopefully a clean version will emerge.

Really looking forward to Fiennes more and more, he seems to really be into this M role now.
