Not as good as hoped. So far, sales are only somewhat better than Boyd's Solo.

Let's start with the United States. For the week of 21 September 2015, Trigger Mortis debuts at #23 on the Publishers Weekly Hardcover Fiction list, with 3,213 print units sold. http://www.publisher...er-21-2015.html

For the week of 28 September 2015, TM is out of the top 25.

The New York Times bestseller list for the week of 27 September 2015, puts TM at #20. This, curiously, was TM's third full week of release. The only week that it placed in the top twenty. http://www.nytimes.c...ction/list.html

TM failed to make the Los Angeles Times bestseller lists.

Now onto England. The 15 September 2015 issue of The Bookseller says "Anthony Horowitz’s James Bond reboot Trigger Mortis (Orion) shifted 11,123" copies. The article is behind a firewall. By comparison, Boyd's "Solo shifted 8,692 copies in its first week on sale. Such a figure for a hardback fiction title would be the envy of many publishers, but the Boyd novel's opening week sales are 48 per cent down on the equivalent frame for Jeffery Deaver's 2011 Bond thriller, Carte Blanche.

Very interesting, thanks for researching and sharing this. We were discussing this only a few days back. Strictly non-representative impression here in Germany is that it's not really a good seller. It's got a prominent place at display tables but these are little help and the publishing house is a relatively small one, no idea if they 'sponsor' these displays, and if so how long they can go on with it.
