So that means there should be an SPECTRE OMEGA TV AD somepoint soon. Looking forward to seeing that!

Funny article that doesn't even have an image...
Some people may mistake this with the commemorative Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra "15’007 Gauss" Limited Edition – which it isn't.

Actually that one is rather nice.

He doesn't seem to look all that enthused to be there.

I wouldn't go as far as to call it ugly, but I think that model is the least attractive Omega timepiece that Bond has worn to date, and is certainly a step down from the Skyfall Aqua Terra (which will actually appear again in Spectre in a few scenes).

Perhaps it is, it's high time every fan had one around the neck. Or wherever they are worn...

Maybe he read the emails?

If this new Omega is your kind of thing but you can't afford it, there are two similar-looking alternatives that can be had for a fraction of the price: this Alpha and this Rotary. Put either on a black-and-gray NATO strap and you're set.

So, thanks to the Blu-ray, I've been able to determine that Bond wears three watches in SPECTRE.

There's the LE SM300, the Aqua Terra, and then, in the final scene, a vintage De Ville chronograph with a white/cream dial (glimpsed as Bond turns the keys in the ignition of the DB5).

That Rotary's actually quite nice, I think. Are they a rubbish brand?

They're not held in especially high regard (like many lower-tier watches, the Rotary Ocean Avenger is China-made), but looking around on the web, there seems to be consensus that they're okay value for the money with good fit and finish (provided you like the designs, of course). Just take the "waterproof" designation with a grain of salt.

If you could find the Rotary Ocean Avenger for $150/£100, it sounds like a fair buy.

The pinnacle of the Bond Omega series is the 1995 'GoldenEye' Seasmaster. I think that look hasn't been beaten.

It's pretty sharp.

I like the Aqua Terra more, though.
