Just saw this posting. Some very rare A View To A Kill promotional videos. They were taken from a tape that was sent to a tv station in 1985 to promote the film. Very cool stuff that really should be included on DVD or blu ray!

Great website that has some other very cool 007 videos too. Behind the scenes and Royal Premieres.

Do check it out!!!

What year did EON and MGM begin sending out EPK (electronic Press kits)?

I saw one for Skyfall online and I know that the 007 Dossier website has just posted one for A View To A Kill?

This is great. Always wanted to see these. Some excerpts were used in the 'Inside AVTAK' doc on the DVD's.

I wish there was more information on the control mines. If they are based on real weapons from MI6

Its my favourite weapon from goldeneye.

At the start of the movie when bond sets one for 6minutes and changes it to 3mins and it explodes and 006 gets scarface

Completely uninterestingly, I actually have the folder that this EPK tape would have been sent in.

The tape would have been a U-Matic, pre Beta SP, and certainly pre anything digital today. The large plastic folder was black, a ring binder in effect with the AVTAK logo slapped all over the front in red.  And as well as the tape in its pocket, held in by the ring binding were the various notes and stills held in their own envelopes.

It was an impressive piece of marketing kit; must have cost a fortune.

Does anyone recall hearing any of the a view to a kill radio spots? I've enjoyed collecting the ones not included on DVD and blu Ray. I use them in my 007 playlists as well.

Would like to hear them. There's a few online for the 2 dalton ones but I believe there are more too. The pierce and Craig eras have been tough to track down as well.

Thanks!!

I think one thread is enough for this. Since this concerns various James Bond EPK's feel free to update this thread with the other ones you posted. I love seeing this material but there should be one thread for the 007 Dossier.  So in future, any chance using this thread for everything you find from them? B-ROLL Footage, Interviews, press kits etc? I'll lock the other ones up, but like I said, please feel tree to update.
