I've read an article by Lisa Funnelli From English Partner to American Action Hero: The Heroic Identity and Transnational Appeal of the Bond Girl. The author focuses mainly on the cinema image of the Bond Girls presenting little information about the heroines from the novels.
Would you agree that the literary Girls/Women were Bond's partners or were equal to him? Although they are tough and self-reliant (in most cases) I always perceived them as a 'sweetener', little more.
A 'pleasant' surprise to me was, TSHLM. But can one consider Vive Michel a Bond Girl?
