I must admit I was hoping the programme was going to offer more of the history and survival of the Studio, the background, the finances, the way a studio used to operate and how it operates today.

As it was, it was a fluff piece that seemed to offer a couple of sentences about each of the above, with some utterly redundant interviews with MGW and Harris, and then to show Ross rolling a car.  I wasn't sure what was the aim of the programme....

5/10.  Could do better.

I agree.

Very light weight all in all. I was thinking what was the point of a lot of stuff. It seemed to be more about what can be done at Pinewood tech wise than a history of the studio and the amazing films made there.

Very little on the 007 stage and it's contribution to Pinewood. No mention it caught fire twice. MGW gets interviewed and there is hardly anything from him on the development of (one of) the worlds biggest soundstage(s). Correct me if I'm wrong, the doc suggested Superman helped prolong the longevity of the studio but surely the 007 stage had an equal contribution in this regard?

Should have spoke to more directors who have filmed at Pinewood as well.

I wasn’t impressed either. I assumed they’d be a mention re the several fires that have leveled the place and what affect that had on the productions etc but no, just Jonathon Ross crashing a car. Great.

Poor Jonathan Woss vehicle, could have done MUCH better, probably with someone else.  I think giving 5/10 is overly generous.

On reflection, I think so too.

I think I was avoiding the overly dramatic but now, 2/10.

Well I enjoyed the documentary and had a great time with it. Mainly for nostalgic reasons as I'm actually from Iver Heath and lived literally two minutes from Pinewood Studios. A lot of nostalgia there for me.
