I strongly recommend these essays -- hilariously funny, incisive, and thought-provoking, and a serious contribution to James Bond scholarship.

Just noticed that there's an additional inducement.  Jim has included a previously unreleased essay on Devil May Care.  Makes it all the more worthwhile.

Hugely grateful for this! These essays are such a pleasure to read, although I find the white-on-black text a little hard on the eyes. Still can't get over the fact you're giving writing of such quality away for free but a donation to UNICEF is a splendid idea. I take my hat off to you, gentlemen.

Oooh. Shiny.

Bottom left corner of page. "Change Theme" link. Change from "CBn 2012" to "IP.Board". White-on-black becomes black-on-white.

Looks great.

Releases May 28.  Whatever could be the significance for a Bond fan of May 28?

Sorry, folks, we're having a technical problem which currently delays the release of the book. Hope we can fix this ASAP.

Oh dear! Our main page seems to have rigor mortis.

And, for that matter, Trigger Mortis.

I get it now. It's still none too funny, is it? But that also probably sums up the 007th Chapter exercise quite nicely. Still, chin(s) up, esprit de corps. And no, IFP, Esprit de Corpse is not a viable Bond title, even if it is just as terrible a pun.

As I've yet to read any of these beforehand I now get the opportunity to read this eBook cover-to-cover.

Congratulations Jim and CBn. I know you put a lot of work into this, Jim, and it must feel good and rewarding to have it all rounded up together in one nice little package. Good job.

On a side note, I hate to bring this up, but the completist in me feels that I should mention it and maybe it can still get corrected. But for the life of me, I cannot find one particular Ian Fleming title on the cover--Risico. Every other title/word is there except for that one. Hope that doesn't offend or take away from your achievement. Anyways, congratulations again.

Ah, excellent. One for the production designer...

What sharp little eyes you've got...especially in studying my nice little package. Flatterer.

Oh damn, I knew how this happened (which doesn't help a lot). I changed it, but currently can't upload the new version, as we're (again) suffering from a technical problem with the main page...

The system is back up and running, new versions of both the ebook and the dustjacket uploaded.

Just glad that it's not a printed book. Nothing worse than getting a complete print run of 5.000 books back from the bookbinder and the first thing you see is an obvious and embarrassing error on the cover. Seen it happen. But unlike this, it wasn't my fault back then...

A cracking tome sir.

The Devil May Care chapter being wildly inventive and chock full of observations, both witty and thought provoking.  The 'Writing As Benson and Gardner' intros were classically and hilariously observed.

I am sure it has been said before but I feel you have the correctly proportioned amount of grumpiness and elitism in your writing (this is actually a compliment) to make a fantastic Bond book yourself.

Did Just Another Kill ever become an ebook?  I was 'collecting' the chapters, or awaiting the completion of the book (I can't remember), before embarking on the complete story, but for some reason this never happened for me.  Did I miss the obvious?  Was it ever finished?

Thank you again for these '7th' essays.

Sadly, no ebook version of Just Another Kill - as yet. You can find the chapters of Jim's -cracking! - tale in the fanfic section, pages 3 and 4 in the sort-by-last-update mode. There is also Jim's The Heart Bleeds Ice novella to be found. Both are highly recommended.
