Thanks for this - will be checking it out. No matter how many times you see the Bond cars in TV shows like this, it never REALLY gets old. :)

Not great, but I liked the Ben Collins bit.

It was a supreme example of oiliness and smarm.  The only thing missing from it was Piers Morgan, who would have fitted right in.

Awful feeding of horribly scripted lines to each other in the studio which I thought was something more commonplace in American TV shows.

I felt myself squirming and cringing as each line was met with a slowly reacted knowing smirk of all knowing smugness.  God, it was awful.

Except Ben Collins, who delivered his piece without any nonsense and frills.  And which was all the better for it.  Maybe Ben Collins should replace Clarkson if Top Gear survives his departure.

He did kind of slyly suggest it in the Radio Times a few weeks back.

I don't think he's good enough to lead Top Gear at all, but he did a good job at presenting, I think, and I'd be happy to watch him do more pieces on these sorts of shows. Way better than Jodie Kidd who is very stiff and weird, and annoyingly refers to cars as 'she' (she was driving that Lotus really badly too). And way better than that bloke who did the segment in the Bond in Motion exhibition where he could come up with nothing better than simply walking around the exhibits and listing them (and he couldn't even get that right: he said that Bond drove the Cougar from OHMSS).

There was one really good bit: the little shot of the 'Russian' soldier falling down dead and being dragged out of shot leaving his furry hat behind, only for 'Bond's feet to appear and kick his hat away- surprisingly one of the Bondiest things I've seen in a quite a while! :)

Oh yes...  Does Kidd always call the cars She?  This is the only one of these shows I have seen, and probably the last.

Fantastically pretentious old codswallop.
