Wonder how much longer we'll have to wait for a trailer! Usually the posters are released fairly close to the first bits of footage shown. Cool stuff!
Marketto has been saying March 28th...

...which would seem to suggest the existing design (of bullet hole, glass, octopus) will not be officialised in print.
In this era of digitised images contrasting against those who collect (printed) posters, is this heralding of the way in which movies will be concurrently marketed between digital and print.
Perhaps my use of the word 'officialised' is now incorrect? Digital and Print both being official, but only one of them being truly own-able in the tangible sense.

Exciting news. And even if we do not receive a teaser trailer by the end of the month, I'm sure we will receive another video blog.
I think it would be great for the footage schedule to pan out in groups of three:
January- video blog
February- video blog
March- small teaser trailer (a la Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
April- video blog
May- video blog
June- typical teaser trailer
July- video blog
August- video blog
September- release trailer

Hope this teaser is better than the last few.

I just love how generous they are with their promotional materials. Between Skyfall and now SPECTRE, EON has released a ton of photos and videos blogs for us die-hard fans to enjoy. It's seriously cool. Really looking forward to what they have for us tomorrow. The Casino Royale teaser is still the bar as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with some of the comments on twitter. I thought we already had the teaser poster?
Posted 16 March 2015 - 10:01 PM
But I guess they will be printing this one... Hence what is currently termed 'a poster'.

Unless they class the bullet hole poster as an "Announcement poster" rather than a "Teaser poster"

I'm hoping the octopus-inspired bullet hole appears somewhere in the teaser or main artwork. It's a great motif.

But if the (announcement or teaser) poster is not printed, does that still count as a poster?
What is the definition of a poster, if not to post up somewhere and on to something? The definition, in this context, reads 'a large printed picture used for decoration or to advertise something.' Which clearly the first design was not.
So, Designs and Posters?

From what I can tell, the first official SKYFALL artwork was released in May 2012. This seems to be a different approach. I'm curious as to whether we'll actually see these posters up in the cinemas, or if they're being pitched primarily for online and digital consumption.

Well, for Skyfall, there was the 50th Anniversary poster which initially appeared as a digital image, but then was only ever printed for the SDCC event, and then as a commercial poster. It never saw the inside of a cinema. I believe this 'might' have been the first artwork we saw even though this wasn't specifically directed towards the Skyfall campaign.
Is this right or am I making this up?

Interesting question. But I'm certain that some of them were printed - if only for MGW's office.
What print run makes it a poster? Or is it the fact that one can officially buy it, frame it and put it on a wall? Guess we're going to see this motif (I prefer that term over "design" as opposed to "poster") all over the Premiere decorations, if that counts.

I might call the design company tomorrow and see what the deal is with regards to the printing of the first poster?
(All this of course IF the 'new' teaser poster is in fact Not just the existing one with a splash of credits over the top)

Would they announce the unveiling, if it just added a credit block? If they did, they they could open themselves up to criticism from those who expect something more - look at the fall out from those expecting a big thing from the Comic Relief sketch...

Sorry, I am not talking about the unveiling of Tuesday's poster. I am talking about the question of whether the first poster was ever printed or not?

Like others, I thought the bullet hole image was the teaser poster.
In any case, I'm not complaining. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Hopefully they come up with something that's actually halfway decent this time around. We haven't had a poster that has even risen to the level of mediocrity since the excellent Casino Royale teaser poster.

I thought all the Casino Royale posters were great, especially the teaser. The QoS designs were okay but nothing great. For me, the best one is the banner of Bond reloading the PPK. The Skyfall posters were disappointing, particularly given the 50 year milestone. So I'm hoping SPECTRE is a return to form in this regard. Personally, I'm hoping for a bit of colour.

Does anybody know what time the poster will be unviled? I assume it would be early over in the UK as was the title announcements so as the morning news programs can pick it up

No time officially announced. I'd guess maybe 5pm UK time, but that's just based on when they've sent out other promotional contents and tweets.Does anybody know what time the poster will be unviled? Yes yes yes - can't wait! NO idea what to expect, just can't wait for our official first glimpse at the marketing campaign!
