The clue is in the title! Which non-Bond Moore film do you consider your favourite?

Has anyone seen The Man Who Haunted Himself? It's from 1970 and, whilst not the best film ever made, it has a lot of heart put into the production. Moore works well as two parts of his own persona and, in parts, the film is quite touching. I urge you to check this out.

Sir Roger as Seymour Goldfarb in The Cannonball Run. His character thinks he's actually Roger Moore!

So... Roger Moore's best non-Bond roles are Roger Moore playing Roger Moore playing James Bond?! Crikey

I'm not well acquainted with many of his non-Bond films.  WIth Cannonball run taken, I guess I'll go with the Pink Panther movie he was in.  A quick wiki search and it was Curse of the Pink Panther!

'Curse of the Pink Panther'... so random!

(except for the United Artists contract thing)

The major saving grace of the sodding film

The Wild Geese gave us a glimpse of how Roger Moore could have played a tougher, more serious Bond. And The Man Who Haunted Himself proved beyond doubt that, contrary to even Sir Roger's own self critical reviews, he can act. So, I'd go for these two.

The man who haunted himself! Probably his best performance.

Although he's also exellent in North sea Hijack, the movie itself is a little dull.

Shout at the devil is also worth mentioning.

Agreed, but I wanted to keep my entry down to two.

PS: "ffolkes", dull? (It's called suspense.)

For an actionthriller there's not very much action, I'm calling "suspense", a movie like Psycho or more recent Shutter Island.

Crossplot is quite fun, if a bit...undemanding.

Otherwise possibly The Sea Wolves or The Wild Geese

Honourable mention has to be 'The Cannonball Run' as stated above! Haha! :D

But my favourite non-Bond role for Moore is....

Sir John Bevistock in 'Bullseye!, opposite Sir Michael Caine.

The Wild Geese.

But his best pieces of work besides Bond are The Saint and The Persuaders.

Having seen most of Roger Moore's films, The Man Who Haunted Himself is my favourite by far. I really like The Naked Face too, however, I like Moore's television shows best. By that I mean The Saint and The Persuaders. I've never seen Ivanhoe or The Alaskans. And Maverick isn't amonst he best work.

'Crossplot' and 'The Quest'

I always want to watch 'The Man Who Haunted Himself' and 'The Cannonball Run' but haven't chance....
