Is there any official meaning behind the name of Eon Productions?

I have a feeling that it's Everything or Nothing, as used in the 2003 video game and 2012 documentary, but has anything be said outside of these? Was the name Everything or Nothing used before the video game and has any official explanation been given?

I'm sure it relates back to the Broccoli/Saltzman parting. Cubby sure did put everything into Bond once he got the sole rights. It was everything or nothing. Positive i've heard Barbara Broccoli recall that somewhere before.

I thought it had always been denied that EON stood for anything, but Barbara Broccoli appeared to suggest it stood for "Everything or Nothing" in the documentary of the same name. I guess they might have applying the acronym retrospectively as it seemed to fit.

But the title "Eon" originated before the split, in 1961 for Dr No - so that can't be the reason :/
