Something that caught my eye from the article is calling the suits "unpatriotic" and Bond looking "like a bodyguard"... Really? I think he looked amazing; very classy, fit and ready to kill. You can never go wrong with made to meassure. Opinions?

This is a disappointment.  Ford did a terrible job with the suits in Skyfall.

I've loved Ford's suits. I like the form fitting style. Looks cool.

Wasn't this a foregone conclusion?

The Ford suits in Quantum of Solace looked very good, though. We'll see what he cooks up for SPECTRE.

I would imagine that it'll be more of what they did in Skyfall.  I don't see much about the formula for that film changing for SPECTRE, since it was the so-called greatest Bond film ever and the first billion dollar Bond and Quantum of Solace is Quantum of Solace.

I think they'll follow after Skyfall in most respects, but the cut of Bond's suits is probably not an area where they're too inclined to follow Skyfall's precedent.

After all, Craig is no longer sporting his Skyfall haircut.

That's true.

I guess time will tell on this, as I'm sure we'll get some kind of on-set picture of Craig in a suit sooner or later.

I don't like how the suits were so tight in SF, especially the tux; he looked like he was wearing a body size speedo.. They looked better in QOS.

What Bond Should look like is a business man in a suit, not a bodyguard in a suit.  Hopefully the suits and tux will not be that tight in Spectre. Anyway he not wearing those thermal or non thermal long sleeve shirts, that sometime might be wore by the military or SWAT teams  for training.

I didn't have a problem with his outfit in Skyfall, and Tom Ford suits Bond. I'm sure he'll look suitably stylish in SPECTRE :D

Not clothes related, but I hope Bond wears sunglasses again in SPECTRE, like the past three movies. Craig looks so good like this.

I also thought they seemed a little tight in SF. No surprises they are following suit and using what they did in SF.

Naturally.

I also agree that the suits need to be changed. Something more along the lines of Bond's Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace wardrobe. Also, a white dinner jacket would be nice. That tux in Skyfall was also too small.

The Ford suits were definitely a little tight in Skyfall but were perfect in QoS. Who knows, maybe Craig's weight fluctuated a little by the time thay came to filming SF? I do remember him complaining about how low a percentage of bodyfat they were demanding of him in his contract - that may have led to him requiring exctra work with his trainer and putting on a little more muscle bulk across the chest and arms than he had been carrying when the suits were made.

I am definitely glad to see the Skyfall haircut is gone and he has returned to something a little closer to pre-Skyfall. That hairdo was one of the worst parts of Craig's SF look - it made him look far too old and haggard and bullet-headed (i.e. bouncer/bodyguard). Compared to the more cultivated 'dos he sported in both Casino Royal and QoS, either of which could be made elegant for be-suited scenes or tousled for action - allowing a more youthful and energetic appearance and greater potential to assisting the development and portrayal of characterisation.

Speaking of Bond's clothing for Spectre, I wonder if we will see him sporting a peacoat at any point in the film? Craig's Bond has worn a peacoat in both Casino Royale (pre-credits b&w Prague scene) and of course in Shanghai in Skyfall.

I do love Tom Ford suits but sometimes get quite disappointed with the fit, Daniel Craig wore this http://www.jbsuits.c..._20461_zoom.jpg navy suit during the DB10 car chase in Rome looked absolutely classic on him but i have seen the pictures of his windowpane suit with the similar kind of fitting in his Skyfall suits, bit extra & stiff fit giving him noting less than a weird looks. There should be some consistency with Tom Ford suits in terms of fit

For a change I'd prefer wayfarers or something rectangular like the Persol 2720s Craig had in CR.

Wayfarers? Not sure they would suit his face, the Persol is about as far as you can go with that kind of heavy frame, a tad more and they become too obtrusive. The aviators are a good compromise for Craig's face.

In this shot they look OK, but in general I'd be careful with the heavier designs, they quickly come over as clunky. Could of course be these were made to fit by whoever runs Ray Ban's celebrity department, they would probably not let him run around with a bad fit. I still find the Aviators the better choice for Craig.

A detailed breakdown of what Tom Ford will be providing for Spectre as posted by the Bond Experience on FaceBook.

The Bond Experience Exclusive! Tom Ford Spectre Line of Clothing!

Tom Ford contacted us to give exclusive information regarding their James Bond line of clothing from Spectre. Yep, you read that correctly…this is the big one, 007….

First, to make this easy for people that want to purchase any of the pieces we have a one contact go to in John Guidry. John has been very engaged with the Bond collectors and was instrumental in connecting TBE with this news. He knows the styles, colors, and names of each piece. Email him below for quickest service:

[email protected]

Now before we get to the pieces, I must report that all of the JB Spectre pieces are extremely limited…and I don’t mean 5000 pieces limited, or 500 pieces limited…I mean REALLY limited. There will be limited sizes for each piece and once they are gone, I am told they will be gone. This isn’t to scare anyone but it is to give fair warning. Also, because of my agreement with Tom Ford I cannot post prices or how limited the numbers are but John will be able to answer those questions for you. I CAN answer questions about the pieces themselves as far as I know, AND I will be getting more information, conducting interviews, and YES there will be dedicated videos with some cool surprises…

The first piece is the O’Connor Suit, which they offer in Wool Silk Herringbone Track stripe, Super 110s Sharkskin, Prince of Whales, and Left hand twill-

The next is the three piece Windsor, notch lapel in Super 110s medium herringbone-

The next is an O'connor but a three piece notch this time-

The next two pieces MIGHT be of interest to people...the Bond Solden pants and jacket! Called the Sky pants and the Nylon front blouson-

Bit of a SPOILER alert next.......Bond Moroccon Polo

Bond Tuxedo/Evening jacket in ivory Windsor gross grain

Bond Tuxedo pants, wool mohair

Bond tuxedo shirt, pliss pastron, french cuff, slim fit evening shirt

Now these next three are very cool...Bond day shirts that pay homage to other films with their slight nods...
Rome, Mexico, and the one that has Dr. No cuffs! Come in white poplin, light blue poplin, and medium blue poplin

The formal coats of Bond....single breasted with mohair collar, and Rome double breasted in brushed wool

And of course ties.............

Bond's bowtie-
And Rome pocket square-

I will try to add some more color detail later tonight...

Why? Oh, just an idea... B)

Yeah, I need this in my life. It'll be so good to see it again. A very different look for Craig's Bond, and he'll be joining my other two favourites, Connery and Moore.

Yes indeed! I love the idea of the white dinner jacket re-making an appearance.

The Turnbull & Asser style cocktail cuff shirt also has me super excited. This is my favourite type of cuff and nearly all my business shirts (from a variety of brands) sport the turnback/foldback/portofino cuff.

350x700px-LL-5cb3dc40_Dr-No_Sean-Connery    Live-and-Let-Die-Turnback-Cuffs-300x223.

I am still hoping at some point there will be confirmation on the trousers, presumably Tom Ford, that appear in the brilliant SPECTRE teaser poster with Bond in the charcoal N.Peal turtleneck.

In terms of my Bond clothing wishlists for SPECTRE, apart from the white dinner jacket and cocktail cuffs (wishes granted!) I would also love to see Bond appear, even if briefly, in his Navy Commander's uniform, maybe towards the end of the film.

Edited: The link to the Roger picture broke so I had to find a replacement image.
