For me it's SPECTRE.

At first I even thought it would be S.P.E.C.T.R.E.

but Spectre somehow doesn't look special enough for me...

Still, it's curious to see it spelled one way in the copyright of the poster and the other in the copyright for the trailer.

Yes, I think SPECTRE looks better and also indicates the organisation.

 

Spectre relates more to what may be one of the main themes - spectres from Bond's past.

SPECTRE for the criminal group we all know and love but also spectre, meaning 'ghost', relating to the Oberhauser past that haunts him.

 

Bloody clever really what it means on both parts and makes perfect sense.

HI folks, I am new here! I personally believe that there isn't anything to get confuse with. James Bond author Ian Fleming also named this fictional organization as SPECTRE,  the same name was mentioned in the press release, the official and teaser poster. SPECTRE is the absolutely correct!

Having been stubbornly typing SPECTRE all year, I now think it's Spectre - the film suggests it's just a name, like Quantum, and not an acronym.

The film listing have it in capital letters - I don't just mean the poster but the actual listings of film showings, at least at my local flicks.

As for what SPECTRE stands for - if it is still considered an acronym - maybe next movie?

That just uses the usual logo, which is always upper case.
