The literary James Bond loved tinkering with his cars, so they could be to his exact standards - he loved his cars and he knew his cars. He would be thrilled that he would have a car made specifically for him.

There will only be 10 Aston Martin DB10s produced and they will all be made, to a bespoke specification, for him.

The engine is apparently a 4.7-litre eight-cylinder.

It's made from Carbonfiber, so it'll be light but strong.

The wheels use Pirelli P ZERO tyres

Apparently it's a precursor to the 2017 V8 Vantage, rather than a follow up to the DB9 - the DB10 name is a nod to Bond's love of the DB5 and the 50 years of Bond and Aston Martin's partnership.

Hopefully more news will follow.

It's fantastic that the car was made just for SPECTRE. I hope it has some hidden tricks in there somewhere, too.

Sam Mendes on the new Aston Martin: "it does some things" and "it does them in a way perhaps you don't expect".

Interesting, thanks. I wonder what he could mean? All I can think of at the moment is different, unique way of deploying gadgets.

Reverse ejector seat? Drops people through the floor.

It's a lovely car (certainly my favorite of the new Aston Martin designs we've seen since Die Another Day). That it's practically unique to Bond makes it all the more spectacular.

The car is fine but does it have a Michael Caine voiced navigation system?

You can definitely say that again. I don't think I've ever seen a car that beautiful looking.

I've been hoping for years that movie Bond would switch back to Bentleys, probably due to brand loyalty to my employer, but have you SEEN the new Continental GTs?

This, though? I can live with this.

That. Is. Awesome.

Jaguar F-type eat your heart out. Now I have two British brands competing for better looking car of the decade.

With respect  please not too many gadgets.

Don't start a trend where it becomes laughable again

The car is being custom made for 007. Its performance should speak for itself.

!'d love to know actually how much input the production team had in designing this bad boy, or whether it's just hype.

Doesn't look like there is a lot of places to hide gadgets on, maybe behind the grill.

Always loved the wheels gadgets. But I guess that would be too close to GF or TLD. I sure can´t think of anything that would make that car cooler.

Amazing car.

I hope it is used with style and I'm expecting one or two rough, dangerous and exciting chases.

I'm not sure about the rear of the car.  What is that overhang bit?

It rather looks like a car that is trying to squeeze one out...

Yeah, they´ve done it with the zagato as well. Take a look.

Couldn´t help but laugh with that remark ;) Now I can´t see anything else, just that "one" being "squeezed out" of its rear. Damn you, Simon :)

Nails, oil and water require some space, as well as the smokescreen generator (and maybe your suggestion is also in the mix - interesting idea, btw). Remember the trouble they had fitting all this into the old DB5  :P

Are you saying now the car is wearing a nappy / diaper, purely to hold it all in...??

I mentioned this somewhere, but I've got a list of gadgets/modification that I've wanted for Bond's AM that haven't been used. Both offensive and defensive.

Do tell Jaguar man ;)

PS: Have you ordered yours, Bryce?
