Hi all,
Just like last time, I would suggest, for those of us who want to stay spoiler-free but still discuss Bond 24, to share our tidbits in a dedicated topic.
So here's me opening the thread.
Cheers!

Good luck, best way to remain spoiler free is to avoid all movie websites, magazines and tv until the film is released

Well, I managed to stay spolier-free while waiting for SF, eventhough I visited CBn quite regularly.
This is precisely designed for those enthusiasts who want to discuss things around SPECTRE yet not enter into plot-linked details nor see leaked on-set pictures.
And I must say the experience was terrific: it was a great feeling to discover the film while watching the film (and not having known everything 3 months in advance) ... just as it should be, in fact

I also managed to visit CBn regularly in 2012 and was completely spoiler-free and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Same with DAD, CR and QOS as I was on here for those too. I don't mind hearing about locations or seeing the trailers, but I don't want to know what's going to happen, and especially would never want to read the script first.
Thanks for opening this thread :-)

I remember I was so excited about QoS that I always read things on it and watched leaked pictures. It was all great since the wait was made softer, but in the end, once in the theatre, I realised that I actually knew (boradly) what was going to happen. For instance, the Opera scene didn't come as a surprise as I had already seen leaked pictures of the set. So eventhough I enjoyed the movie, the experience was somehow downgraded. I then decided not to be "spoiled" again. And I managed to stay spoiler-free during the filming of SF. What a terrific blast it was when I actually discovered everything on screen!
So I'll do all I can to stay spoiler-free this time around too. I'll watch the teasers/trailers, but that's about it.
We have a saying in French: "le meilleur moment en amour, c'est quand on monte l'escalier". The excitement is in the anticipating. Then once you experience what you waited for, the pleasure is a blast.

The funny thing about this thread is that of course, those who are in the spoilers section can correct anything that we say on here. Any ideas we have about plot or characters can be shot down immediately by those who know the answers.
So how do we manage this thread as only being answered by those who are remaining spoiler-free?

But isn't this the spoiler free part of the forum anyway? Isn't that why we have the spoiler subforum?
The divide should be very clear without this thread.

True, it's just that those who want to know spoilers can also post here if they want.

So, is this thread for those of us who want to remain spoiler free, but still discuss key points of the film? Or is it a thread for expressing one's struggle to remain spoiler free? Or....?
I'm a little...confused.

I guess we just need to ask those who have read the leaks not to contradict the theories of people who are choosing to remain unspoiled, no matter if they're known to be wrong. There's a degree of faith involved obviously, but that seems the best way to go.
Good luck with that.
Sadly, I think that the only way to avoid massive spoilers for SPECTRE will be avoid CBn entirely until after the film is released. No matter how well intentioned (or not) someone who has read the leaks may be, there's most likely always going to be at least some subtle pointing in the "right" direction in any discussion regarding SPECTRE, be it in the "non-spoiler" or "spoiler" sections of the forum.
I would, however, go even further and say that CBn should ban any discussion of the SPECTRE leaks, seeing as how it's all based on stolen material that would get the site into trouble if it was posted here under virtually any other circumstance.

I certainly have to avoid this site after the movie is released in the UK; we usually have to wait 3 more weeks here in Australia.

I am treating it as a book being adapted to film. Knowing the story of a book I've read has never hurt my enjoyment of a movie and it's lack of surprises.
This is a good comparison and it's pretty much how I feel about the leaks.

Great thread!
I can never seem to piece together all the little details coming off set during production.
Sometimes it seems all about who you know and I don't really even know anyone on CBn.
Just seems like alot of he said she said to me.
Guess ignorance is blitz...
I also didn't read much of the Sony leaks, besides one little brief tidbit of a scene and some budget details.
This film is overwhelming on paper, I almost feel I don't need to know everything...

The opening ski chase features Bond and Mr. Hinx in their skivvies fighting while they ski into an avalance.
Oops. Better stop. Dustin's giving me the eye.
The ladies would love that

I saw that the weather cleared up in Austria so hoping we get some beautiful snow scenes and some skiing.

I saw that German actor Detlef Bothe and British actress Brigitte Millar have joined the cast of SPECTRE.
I wonder who they will be playing? It seems Millar is playing a villain so maybe a member of SPECTRE?

I'm trying to stay spoiler-free as well. So far the only spoiler I've come across is the ending because of a f******g idiot who wrote it in a completely unrelated thread, but apart from that, I know nothing about the movie that has been said outside the official press conference.

Spoiler free since 2003.

Is anyone concerned about the delays in the filming in Rome?
Does anyone else think this should have all been agreed upon before they announced the locations?

I'm a little...confused.
"We wouldn't want that, would we?"...
Guess ignorance is blitz...
Indeed!
So far I know nothing outside of what's been said during the initial launch at the press conference (which itself didn't say much except introducing the cast).
And I even skipped some posts here talking about the opening scene: I don't even want to know what it is! So as soon as I saw the words "opening scene" I then avoided the rest of the post... I know, a little paranoïd, but that's how I'll play it until the release

Are we allowed to talk about Francisco Scaramanga and Dr. Kananga's involvement?

Oh blast! You spoiled it! Naughty you...

You do realize I was joking, don't you?
BTW, the film tricks us into thinking that Monica Belluci is Blofeld, because that's what her henchman call her. Later on we learn that she's Blofeld's wife. Blofeld of course is Andrew Scott.
