The latest behind the scenes video shows that the shot of Bond and Madeleine talking as the crater lair blows up is real. Maybe I'm a cynic, but I assumed they had been added over a blue screen of the real explosion.

Oh, really? I thought that they were a bit unimpressed by the huge bang, despite being so close to it. Also, I noticed no signs of a blast wave. That's why I. too, thought it was blue screen.

I thought that also! But I guess they needed to be there and just be still and not detract from the visual of the explosion itself, and I guess they were happy to watch that lair blow up once and for all!

Still, they were there and just shows even in this CGI world of film it's now hard to see what is real and what isn't!

Good work Mendes and crew for the GWR award!

Once I read that the explosion was real, it made me think that Craig and Seydoux were superimposted onto the image, rather than the other way round, if you get my meaning.

The whispers were quite right. This is the Bab el Assa – a gate to the kasbah.

I believe this was the building that had some set dressing assigned to it.  But can anyone remember if in fact it was used in the finished film?

Similarly, I believe there was a building alongside the Thames that had had some dressing to it.  An image of it was in these forums at one point.  Can anyone remember what I am talking about and also if they know when that was used in the finished film.

Best.

Yes, I believe the opposite angle was used, when we see Bond and Madeleine walking through Tangier to reach L'Americain.
