Has anyone been to the London Film Exhibition to see the Bond in Motion collection? There's a gallery of images in this link and having been, it's great to see these iconic vehicles up close, especially the Lotus Esprit and Austin Martin from Goldfinger.

Yes, I saw it a few weeks ago and I will write an article about it. Special preview: Go see this exhibition! It's tremendous fun!

I want to soo bad! Once I graduate college and get my bachelor's degree, I want to travel to England and do a HUGE Bond tour guide on my own. I want to go to this exhibit, I want to see the MI6 building. I have always been a Bond fan so for me to see these locations would be fantastic.

I'm so annoyed I missed this closer to home - however that was only at the Beaulieu Motor Museum so I may have go that little further to see it in London.

I caught this exhibition at Bealieu. Also visited the Bond Cars exhibition in Keswick shortly after it opened. Great to see the cars up close, especially the DB5.

Does anyone know why the DB5 in the Bond in Motion exhibition has the numberplate BMT 214 A while the one in the movies and at Keswick had the registration number BMT 216 A?

(And before you say, 'Well, it's a different car.' I know that, but since I assume it is a 'dummy' plate and not the real registration number, you'd think that they'd get it correct.)

Because that's the numberplate it wears in GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies.

I went recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although flash photography is prohibited I managed to get loads of great pics without using the flash.

Highlights for me were the scrapped to hell car from QoS, the cars from DAD and the little incidental bits included such as Bond and Vesper's passports and the model of the MI6 building used during Skyfall's preproduction.

Which Lotus Esprits are there shown? I'm a Lotus fan myself so I'm very interested in what cars and how many they have at the exhibition.

I'll be going to this when I hit the UK for a week in December;

anybody have thoughts on how long you need there?

I only have a day in London and was thinking about doing that new Sherlock Holmes exhibition as well

I´d say: give it at least one hour.  It´s not too big but you will want to stay there because it is so good.

Is everything that was present at Bealieu in London?

No.  Far from it.

It is vastly scaled down due to space.

That said, the brochure accompanying is much improved upon the original.

Well, that is rather disappointing. I guess I'll have to get the brochure as a bit of compensation. Better than not seeing it at all. At least all of Bond's Astons and most major cars are there. Out of curiosity, which ones are not present?

If you have not seen Bealieu, then certainly go and see London.  I saw both, but only due to circumstance and friends and availabilty.

And I bought both brochures, hence the comparative thoughts.

Bealieu is afterall a purpose built (sort of), in situ car museum.  London, being London, really won't have the space to showcase LALD parachutes and the like as part of the themed locomotion of Bond.  And there is a lovely brasserie just opposite that serves the most wonderful coffees.

As for what is not present, I couldn't say.  That said, various things-Skyfall that were Not present in Bealieu are now present in London.

A lot of pictures of Bealieu are online too! They are just as good as seeing them.

I was holidaying in London with my girlfriend over the weekend and we happened upon this, not knowing that it was still running.

It was absolutely fantastic - accompanying the cars with relevant scenes from the films was a simple, but essential touch that made the whole experience come alive and made me feel like I was receiving a hug from my childhood. Absolutely terrific nostalgia.

Great to see all of the cars there, but the Brosnan ones were probably the highlights as they had the most gadgets on display. The only disappointment was the absence of anything from Licence to Kill, but I suppose that film's distinctive vehicle was an oil tanker! Also I was sad not to see the DBS from OHMSS as that one was another classic. All in all though, absolutely unmissable and worth the slightly pricey entry fee (£17, but it is London I suppose).

I took phone snaps of everything and will try and upload them in the next day or so.

Fab - glad you enjoyed it! I'll be going to this soon as I missed Bealieu. Shame there's nothing from 'LTK', but like you say...there's not really much to fit in an exhibition except maybe the flaming truck at the end, but that's not the most exciting Bond vehicle.

Should have a tanker truck outside.  ;)
