· Hardback.

· First Published 1963 by Glidrose Productions Ltd. Printed in Great Britain by Richard Clay & Company, Ltd., Bungay, Suffolk.

· Book is in excellent condition: Has no creased pages, no markings or used bookstore stamps/stickers.

95% certain that the dust jacket is a reproduction: judging from the pics, it's glossy, which it shouldn't be.

100% certain that its not this book's original dust jacket: this is a book club edition, and here's what it should look like: http://illustrated00...rvice-book.html

The dust cover is paper quality I put some plastic around it to protect it from any damage.

Ah, that explains. But still, it's the wrong dustjacket for this edition.

If the dustjacket is not a reproduction (which is near impossible to tell from pictures alone) and in good condition, it might even make more money than the book itself (as it can be used to upgrade a proper Cape edition with a missing or damaged dustjacket).

I picked it up in a bookstore that was going into liquidation along with another bond book. Dust jacket was in good condition so I put some plastic around it (did not stick it to the cover) to protect it. It's more of a paper card quality which is why I assumed it was a reproduction cause I'm more used the glossy dust jackets you see on all new hardbacks you see.

... It's more of a paper card quality ...

Sounds good. You may have a winner here.

Best would be trying to find one in an antiquarian bookstore (with original DJ) and compare them.
