'You earned it. You keep it, Old Buddy!'
My favourite line of the entire series.
Bond in one line.

The interrogation scene in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS between Bond and Pushkin in the hotel room. Not only the best moment of Dalton's tenure, but the best moment of the entire franchise.
It's a really great moment. The scene really screams "Dalton is Bond". I love the reveal with the PPK and silencer from behind the door. It's just a great image. The scene that follows with Pushkin is awesome. Even though I like both of Dalton's films, I don't think TLD did the best job of showcasing Dalton's Bond. But this scene really gets it right.

Or, Franz Sanchez: And what business is that?
James Bond: I help people with problems.
Franz Sanchez: Problem solver?
James Bond: More of a problem eliminator.
That was a great moment as well. There are a lot of great moments for Dalton in Licence to Kill. The standoff between Bond and Killifer at the research lab was another highlight. I've also always been one of the seemingly few who liked the whole "Why don't you wait until you're asked?" thing between Bond and Pam. Both of the scenes where that is referenced are scenes that I've always enjoyed quite a bit.

I'm glad I'm not the only on who likes the "Why don't you wait till your asked ?" scenes lol

Me too I forgot about those. Such memorable movies and such a great Bond. I also really love the scenes with Q in both Dalton films.

I love the romance between Pam and James, why don't you wait till you're asked/ why don't you ask me. Plus I love the end song by Patti LaBelle too!

Agreed. It's a great song, one of my favorites in the franchise.

I love the title song. Sometimes I listen to it 2-3 times before I start watching the movie lol!!I love the romance between Pam and James, why don't you wait till you're asked/ why don't you ask me. Plus I love the end song by Patti LaBelle too!

It's such a cute romantic song! I would love if that song would play at my wedding. That would be a dream come true.

Oh my, what a Dalton love fest ! I'd say, the end of LTK, because that was the last of two boring, dull films, from which the series badly needed to recover, just as much as it had needed to recover from the overly-comical and ridiculous tone of the Moore era...

Yup, great moment, Robinson!
Also like after Saunders is killed, Bond's sharp "no" to Kara when she asks if they can stay in Vienna a few days longer. Very "play time is over".
"Compliments of Sharky" would be a t-shirt and internet meme sensation were it in a more recent and more popular movie.

"Compliments of Sharky" would make an excellent t shirt!
Bond jumping into the pool, "Why don't you wait till your asked ?" and then the music. Just a wonderful scene and ending.
"More of a problem eliminator."
"play time is over".
"whoever she was..."
All very memorable moments and some of my favourites of his.
I always thought Dalton played it a little to dramatic though when he says, "watch the birdy you bastard".

The whole Bratislava sequence early on in TLD.
Dalton's dialogue and his delivery of each line combined with the feel and theme that is set up... Flawless.

The Bit when he lights up Davi's Sanchez with the lighter Felix and his Wife gave him. Bond beaten and bloody but still outsmarts the bad guy. The First time you seen Bond beat up and Dalton looked cool as S*** selling it. Best moment in LTK by a mile.

I loved the truck scene in LTK when he road on the side wheels. Made Connery's trick in DAF look like a joke. LOL!!!The Bit when he lights up Davi's Sanchez with the lighter Felix and his Wife gave him. Bond beaten and bloody but still outsmarts the bad guy. A thousand times this. My favourite Dalton moment.
A CLOSE second goes to "I'm more of a problem...eliminator." It would be a pitch perfect scene if not for Dalton's awful Dracula-hair in the scene.
Also Bond's layered conversation with Kara following Saunders' death where he begins to realise more is going than he initially suspected.
"Make a sound...and you're dead."
Pretty much every stunt in LTK (particularly the 'fishing' scene) and "Don't you want to know why?"
"Compliments of Sharkey!"
"You keep it...old buddy..."
"Watch the birdie, you bastid!"
Just everything. Every scene he was in.

A great Bond, so many great moments....I agree though that some of his lines were read overly dramatically, i.e. "Watch the Birdy" and that line about strawberry jam. Perhaps some of this can be chalked up to Dalton's experience in stage acting, where words (and actions) can be somewhat exaggerated.

I agree with people listing the interrogation scene in TLD. Pure Dalton. Serious, professional and in control. I also will raise the death of Sanchez as one of my key favourite Dalton moments. Banged up, bloodied and exhausted. The best villain death in the series, and I love how Bond broods about it all afterwards.

Weird, but one of my favourite TD scenes is really Robert Brown's M - in TLD where he orders 007 to kill Pushkin "You think I don't?!" etc. It was a nice return to a more adult M-007 dynamic after the tendency since DAF of Bond acting more like a schoolboy, rather than two espionage professionals. I hope that the DC-Fiennes relationship continues the early SC-Lee relationship, Laz in OHMSS, and the scenes in TLD.
