Entertaining stuff as always. Jack's scarred up torso was heavy on the scar tissue, which i thought was great - he's virtually the walking dead.
Fairly predictable up to now (seen 2 eps), but that's how they played it before - lull you into a false sense of security until midway (ep6 in this shortened run), which is when they'll pull a major twist, surprise, and usually some nice stunt casting t-boot. The sudden late appearance of Hopper in the first season was great, though my fave part was when the 'good guy' suddenly starts talking klingon under Jack's interrogation (i think it was Serbia, maybe!).
Made the mistake of watching this big on the projector and got a little sea sick - forgot just how shaky-cam-close up this show is. It's a show made 100% for tv, in a very good way. Looking forward to the next ep (on on the telly this time)
ETA: One thing that made me laugh - Kiefer's intro, saying something like,
"This takes place between 11am and 12pm...." Fair enough - it's only 12 eps covering 24 hours, but they can skip time in the story telling - good stuff.
"The events take place in real time..." Ok, hold on a minute! That's where i laughed out loud. Obviously this series doesn't take place in real time because there's 12 hours missing. I'm fine with them showing us the select 12 hours of this 24 hour period, but don't talk BS. Guess they forgot, or didn't want to change the script here from the show's format script, but it leaves them looking slightly dumb.
Maybe it was just me, but i thought Kiefer sounded a little embarrassed to be saying that second line.
