Indeed.

You're done with the SBS now, Cmdr Bond - you can afford to 'let your hair down' a bit.

Craig, you godless, dirty hippy - get a freakin' haircut!  :D

All kidding aside, it must really be nice to be able to look that great in any hair length.  What a handsome (not to mention talented) man we are blessed with in our latest 007.  Us 007 fans should really count our blessings.  (Although I wouldn't recommend wearing those sunglasses he's wearing in the 'suspenders photo' posted by Germanlady - they make his face look 'odd'.)

Does anyone know if Eon or the director (i.e someone other than the actor) decide what exactly will be 007's "look" (including hairstyle) prior to the filming each movie?  I know Sir Roger must have been told to lose 'The Persuaders' haircut before LALD started filming, but how 'restrictive' do 'they' get?   I imagine Brosnan's hairstyle in GE must've been a carry-over to "audiences expectations post-Remington Steele", but who gets to decide such things?

The "right" was for CR, because in that, it was right in my book. QOS was partly good, when it wasn't combed into the front and SF was...well SF. I believe, like in the suit pic, that is the deal for 24.

Well, SKYFALL was a long and exhausting shoot, followed by a long and exhausting press tour.  And last year he did the Broadway play (months of rehearsal, months of performances).  It´s probably good that he took some rest this year before hitting the dreaded gym again for the next long and exhausting Bond shoot.

And now it looks as though Craig has dropped out of the film, just a week before it was set to begin production.

Love to know why. My instinct tells me it's probably "creative differences" being as Craig is known for throwing himself into a particular role. Courtroom dramas are 10-a-penny these days, so I can't say I'm terribly upset.

Hmm..interesting.. well this could be for the better, leaving Craig with much more time to focus on pre-production of Bond 24. Had he stuck with this film, most likely it would have been filming for 3-4 months and then would have to jump straight into Bond, almost right away..

Absolutely interesting why he would commit to this and then drop out a week before shooting begins.  That is very bad form - unless there is a really good reason.

Did he ask for changes that were promised but not delivered - because the producers wanted to use Craig´s name for upping the profile of this picture?

Did he - God forbid - fall ill and therefore cannot do the picture?

Or did he just not feel like doing this film anymore and say: F*** it?

Not really Daniel Craig news, per se, but Keanu Reeves has signed on to The Whole Truth, filling the role vacated by Craig a couple of months back.

I really don´t want to knock Reeves.  I actually think he can be a very good actor if given the right material ("Devil´s Advocate", for example).  But to cast him in a role that Craig was slated to play is weird.  The producers must be very desperate to choose someone who is so absolutely different.
