Is there any news on a 2014 James Bond calendar?

 

I'm puzzled as to why they have been discontinued.

I'm going to guess most licensed calendars are being discontinued because they are no longer purchased as frequently as they had been in the past.  With so many more people having smart phones and using computers more often, calendars seem quite quaint to many individuals... and the majority of those of the younger generation.

 

I personally haven't used a paper calendar for a few years now and I would find it to be a waste of paper if I just had it to look at the pictures.  If I want some interesting Bond-related photographs, I'll buy a book full of them instead of a calendar with only 12-16 of them... or an incredibly thin-sheeted collection of 365 pictures.

I miss my Bond calendar. Sure, as you say larrythefatcat, they are a little reduntant now except big family planners and ones used at work/office.

 

I still treasure my Bond 365 day one. A different Bond snap and fact everyday for a whole year!

 

I would have thought if there was a year to warrant a calender it'd be 2013 to cap of the 50th year and 'Skyfall'. 'Star Wars' churn calendars out every year, but then they have a much younger fan base who would have calendars in their bedroom.

 

Maybe Bond has done his time?

I really do hope they make another one. I remember having the 2008 and 2009 one, but they seemed to disappear after that. :(

Wonder why there was no 2012 and 2013 James bond calendars at all. And there are always Gone with The Wind, Elvis, Star Trek, Star Wars, Frank Sinatra and John Wayne, Audrey Hepburn and Bruce Lee every year since they started having them, by which ever calendar printing companies. I got the Bond Calendars from the 2005 one up to the last time that it was printed for 2011. The only calendars that I know of that not printed every year or not always printed are Indiana Jones, CSI, Chuck Norris humor one, Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

Hopefully they reconsider and start making a calendar again at some point. 

 

There is not a listing for 2014 so it doesn't appear there will be one next year. 

 

MGM doesn't seem to have a very good pulse or understanding on the 007 fan base at times. 

 

No calendar, no expanded releases of the Roger Moore Bond soundtracks.....
