Hi everyone - my first venture into the Fan Fiction threads, so be gentle!

I've just finished a lengthy adaptation of the 'A View to a Kill' script into a novel and am looking to publish it for you fans to read should anyone be interested.

I just would like some advice how to go about this, mainly because the story is adapted from the official screenplay by Richard Maibaum and Michael G. Wilson circa 1984 and all other items relating to the James Bond franchise are under copyright belonging to EON / Danjaq Productions.

Any adivce would be great if this is something I could do, or not!

Thanks guys, appreciate it! :)

It's only fan fiction. I doubt they'll worry.

If you want it to look official, post a disclaimer - you can copy and paste mine if you like, look it up on the title post of my adaptation 'O.H.M.S.S.'67'.

Thanks chrisno1, I'll have a look! :)

Jim, I didn't mean the likes of Kindle Publishing to sell for profit, I just mean maybe online here?

I'd love to get it on Amazon, don't get me wrong, for free distribution, but am not that eager to go defy EON! Is there a contact I can make at EON for permission at all for something like that do you know?

Definitely - nothing on Amazon. Not for free, not even as a joke. I doubt they'd pick it up, but there is simply no telling how far the degree of automation went there already, so you might get into trouble with a mouseclick. Here on the fanfic section should be no problem. Take chrisno1's offer for a legal disclaimer and fire away.

Yeah, I wouldn't take that risk on Amazon, tempting as it would be, I'm not that desperate for it!

Thanks Dustin, and all, I appreciate the advice!   I'll post away soon...

Feel free to close this thread should you see fit now mods! :)
