I'm wondering if they'll do an anniversary tribute/opening sequence/whatever in the new film, even if it won't be 50 years by the time the movie comes out. 52 is good enough, really.
If so, what would YOU like to see as part of the tribute (if it happens or if they can be bothered).

I don't think they will do anything - if Bond 24 is out in 2014, that will be 52 years and just another notch on the bedpost for EON rather than a big milestone like the 50th of 2012.
This Bond will be just the same as the others, minus the '50 Years' logo seen at the end of 'Skyfall'. I don't think EON will blow their own trumpet with Bond and do anything at the start of their next film as it will be 2 years after the 50th so there will be no need to continue.

A good thought of course for a thread, that's just my opinion so EON could prove me wrong still! 
You never know, there could be some 50th Anniversary promotional material that could still be related to he marketing of Bond 24 as the next film in the 50 year strong franchise?

Now that I think about it, You Only Live Twice's novel was released in 1964, and that same year Fleming and Blofeld died.

Ah, now there's an idea! A faithful adaptation of the novel, Castle of Death, Guntram Shatterhand ... perhaps as the head of Quantum instead of SPECTRE.

A gun barrel sequence at the beginning of the film would be the only "nod" I'm expecting to see. At this point, there really is no excuse.
Even if they did a different spin on it, like they did in Casino Royale.

I also like to see the gun barrel at the beginning. It is quintessential to a bond film.

Ah, while I would like one, it would seem out of place, considering if it was released by 2014 or 2015, it would be, of course, the 52nd or 53rd anniversary. If they were to put a 50th anniversary reference, it would have been in Skyfall. It's too late for it now.

Skyfall is littered with references to films that supposedly haven't even happened in that film's line of continuity, and Quantum of Solace features a big reference as one of the film's major plot points. Eventually, if it hasn't happened already, the films will risk becoming too selfaware if they continue with packing each film after the next with references to the previous films.
