Well it started as Race Car founder by Lionel Martin. The Name Aston was somewhere Buckinghamshire. Well you know the official Aston Martin Web http://www.astonmartin.com. The most Remember James Bond car Aston Martin DB5 classic always popular  forever. Couple Aston Martin followed. Recently Daniel Craig new Aston Martin DBS recently be replace by the return Vanquish.  But Aston Martin I in other Film & TV series as well. Don't forget Roger Moore drove Aston Martin DBS V8 similar to George Lazenbys DBS in On Her Mystery Secret Service. Roger Moore drove it with other TV series opposite to late Tony Curtis in The Persuaders. Tony Curtis drove a Ferrari.

I've seen a few Aston Martins where I living. I collect Aston Martin including James Bonds. I do have Roger Moores  The Persuaders as Diecast cars. I open the Diecast cars post later. No matter if 007 does drive one in future Bond film I like them. That all I got to say. Happy Anniversary Aston Martin.

Simply, a stunning piece of engineering and a staple of British car manufacturing. Nobody does it better, and certainly not better being paired with James Bond!

Happy Anniversary Aston Martin!

Thanks Ace, and myself would be the DBS. A sucker for the modern Aston Martin I'm afraid. 'Casino Royale' sold it to me!

Off Screen Aston Martin ; Daniel Craig bought a Aston Martin V12 Vantage Volante for himself in his 45th Birthday. Although he his Bondmobiles were the classic Aston Martin DB5 & Secret service issue DBS. Although he didn't get a new Aston Martin in Skyfall screen. But this great he got a new Aston Martin for himself. Good news he won't crash it & he'll treat well then the DBS & DB5.

I read few months ago that James Bond will drive an new Aston Martin replacing his Both the classic DB5 which blew in Skyfall & His spymobile Aston Martin DBS. Most say it may be the DB9 replacement. I won't sure if they modified the New Aston Martin. But we wait & see. But it good news.

I saw a Vanquish the other day in Laguna Beach for the first time in person.  As I was waiting for a jump start from AAA, I was a little envious!

Grief - looking at it, it would seem unlikely it can be repaired.

Tragic.

(No mention the father and son are critical, hence why the focus on the car)

Bragging time: a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to test drive a Vantage V12 S Roadster for a day (detailed report on this to follow soon, working on it). A fantastic experience and a dream come true for a Bond fan and car enthusiast. If you ever get the chance to drive something like that – don't think twice. There's an old saying that every man in his lifetime should build a house, plant a tree and bear a son. I'd add a fourth one: drive a sports car with more than 500 hp, capable of doing more than 300 kph and which you'll never be able to afford in your whole lifetime.  B)

This was inside the Nürburgring area. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to drive it on the Ring itself, as contractual conditions explicitly forbid using the test car on any race track. They know why they do that...

My profile picture shows me with a James Bond Edition DB 9 GT (number 44 of 150), gorgeous car!  As far as the DB 11 is concerned, one word:  daaaaaaaaammmmmmmnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  600 bhp 5.2L V12!  Amazing vehicle!  If you haven't seen the pictures, here's the Aston Martin DB 11 site:  http://db11.astonmartin.com/en-US
