Ooh nice. Will it be the Castle from the film or his estate from the novel?

I haven't read the novel, so the film Estate will be the target.

Also figured I should post this because this always happens when shootings happen.

http://www.polygon.c...nra-video-games

Yea, I read about that. It's sad that the NRA has to resort to blaming video games. There are no studies out there that show that violent media as any effect on whether people commit violence. It's true that guns don't kill people, people kill people. But what are people using to kill people? GUNS. Sorry, had to get that out there. Back to the topic.

Replaying the God of War series right now. I forgot how much I loved it ;).

I know.. I mean seriously the NRA is using video games as a scapegoat to shift the blame on video games instead of guns.

An easy scapegoat for those who live in a world without stricter, harsher and tougher rules and laws I think...

My thoughts exactly tcr. I studied this time of stuff for 4 years in college and I can say that there are NO studies that show any correlation between violent video games and violent crime.

Been on a Far Cry 3 binge lately, and I will say, it's by far the best game of the year. Probably the best game I've played in a very long time.

I want that game! ^ It looks so fun! I am playing L.A Noire right now and if you haven't played through it, you definitely should. One of my favorite Rockstar titles. It's so fun and addicting. I played for 3 hours yesterday and now I want to play it again for like 5 hahaha.

It's worth it, trust me. I got L.A. Noire last year for my birthday, absolutely loved that game. Fantastic from start to finish.

Yeah I am so addicted to it! I wanted to play it today and my brother invited his friend over and they were using the xbox all day.. so I was actually sad. I am on the Red Lipstick Murder case so I am not that far, but I am loving every minute of this game.

Eh, I'm not that much of a fan of LA Noire. It gets really repetitive after awhile and I absolutely hate Cole.

Never understood all the praise that L.A. Noire got.  You're absolutely correct in saying that it's repetitive, and the gameplay is just never engaging at all.

Replaying Red Dead Redemption. Probably my all time favorite game.

Looking to get Hitman Absolution soon.

I found LA Noir a little boring, and never played the Far Cry series either...what a bore I am!

Still looking to get 'Hitman Absolution' after New Year. Happy to say I did get 'Assassins Creed III' so that will be the next game to play!

Has anyone got a Wii U yet?

I am absolutely loving mine, cannot remember the last time I had so much fun with a console, (probably the Dreamcast).

I really hope people give this a chance, because so far I've not had any problems with it.

I've got:

007 Legends

New Super Mario Bros U

Nintendo Land (Mario Chase and Luigi's Mansion is a God send for the kids)

Sonic Racing Transformed

If anyone wants to add me, I'm

Lol Cole is a dick, he cheats on his wife for goodness sakes. I really do love this game though, and I think it's fun solving different murders and such.

There's not enough out yet for me to justify getting a WiiU. Honestly, it will take a lot for me to consider it. The only Nintendo games that I like are Metroid and Zelda and after Skyward Sword I'm starting to feel that Zelda is starting to show its age. The only reason I ever bought a GC was for MGS Twin Snakes and right now there's nothing that interests me on WiiU.

Not sure if this will end up being true or not. But if it is, then I will not be getting a PS4.

I heard about that.. I think that's really annoying because Microsoft has considered that too. I wonder what would happen to all the Gamestops, I mean they would be forced to only carry new games and even then I think they would go out of business since Target, Amazon, Bestbuy all sell games too. I think it's dumb because sometimes I can't afford to buy a 60 dollar game, so if it's a used game for 40 I will probably buy that instead.

Not to mention that DLC makes buying a new game useless and you have to usually wait awhile as well shell out more money for the full game. Buying a game new at $60 nowadays means you are buying an incomplete game and will be forced to pay more for the full thing. If Sony/Microsoft end up doing this, I will not buy either new console and will either go with a WiiU/PC gaming or give up on gaming all together. Video games are becoming more and more about greed and less about the games themselves.

That's pretty much how all of the entertainment industry is, not just the video game portion of it.  Always has been that way and it always will be that way.  Sony and Microsoft are going down this route because they know that they can do it and it won't hurt the bottom line.  This maneuver won't put a dent in the sales of Grand Theft Auto V and whatever other games are coming out, as when push comes to shove, the gamers will pay the $60 for the game (in most cases, anyway).  That, as well as the fact that they get to put GameStop out of business, something the game industry has seemingly wanted to do for years, I don't really see where Sony or Microsoft is going to lose here.  They'll lose some PR points, but it won't hurt their bottom line much if at all.

Anyone have suggestion for Strategy game? I am terrible at any kind of shooting game so i stick to RTS......I know there is starcraft and warcraft but there must be more that is popular both single and online

They're not making a mistake on this at all.  This is actually smart business on Sony and Microsoft's part and could even potentially lead to the price of games going down, since they won't be losing any revenue to GameStop.  Sony and Microsoft get no percentage of the money that GameStop "earns" when they buy a game for a ridiculously low price from a customer and then turn around and sell it at a higher price.  All they're doing is eliminated a way for someone else to make money off of their products, which in the long run (although maybe not in the immediate short term) could result in the prices coming down a bit.

I think that is a very naive thought. If this all proves true and works, I think we would actually see the price of games increase. I'm actually surprised that activision still only charges $60 for Call of Duty at launch. Somehow though, I doubt any of this is actually going to happen.

Yeah and having to pay 60 dollars for every single game? I can't afford that..

007JamesBond! have you tried Civilization series? I heard that's a pretty fun series of strategy games.

I can't afford $60 for every game either. On top of that, I rent most of my games anyway. I only buy them if I absolutely know that I will play them again.

Exactly, and I almost always buy my games used or for a lesser price. If they were going to do this, then they should have it so after a couple of weeks that these new games will decrease in price, then maybe I wouldn't be so worried.

Either way though, I doubt this is going to happen. I think the consumer backlash would be too great.
