You should try the new LAWRENCE OF ARABIA BD or JAWS. You won´t want to go back to DVD ever.

And by the way - you can watch your DVDs on your BD player as well - it even upscales the picture of those.

Both look amazing on Bluray. DVD's still look pretty good when up scaled on my 47 inch screen. Hopefully there will be some good special features unlike QOS's Bluray/DVD.

My biggest surprise after getting my BluRay player was how much it improved the image of my regular DVD collection.

The reason I'm disappointed with the cover art is because it doesn't match the dvds I already have but it does go well with the 2012 DVD/BR releases.

Yikes. I sincerely hope that cover is only a place-holder.

Me too. Any of the other two posters would be better than this.

I imagine I'm not the only one who would like to see this poster be the inspiration for the DVD/Blu-ray cover art.

I think a variation of that could work. It's a great shot. Actually, it'd be very similar to the cover on the recent re-release of Goldfinger on individual DVD/Blu-ray. Not necessarily a bad thing!

Perhaps a coloured version of that poster, with a distant shot of the Aston and showing Bond's gun.

Or a coloured version of the IMAX poster?

Hell the black and white makes it look even more classy.

Would everyone just prefer if I print this off in a DVD sleeve and mail it to them? Then we call all be happy.

I think it's hilarious that some people hate this DVD/Blu Ray cover when it looks better than probably 15 of the covers for the new re-releases of the previous Bond movies. A lot better.

Personlly, I love the idea that Bond is in action at the bottom of the poster/cover, partially cut off like that. To me it's far more stylish than most action movie posters.

As I was away waiting for Skyfall to come out I didn't see the reaction here - what were the reactions like to the new DVD/Blu Ray covers for the previous Bond movies (for the individual releases)?

I think most of them are terrible, but a few (The Living Daylights, On Her Majesty's Secret Service among them) are really good.

I don't like having the US art on the DVD because [a] Bond always had different versions for the DVD releases and [b] I know I'm getting the video poster when the DVD comes out and I don't wanna have the same poster artwok twice.

Yeah, but as per my comments over on the poster thread, it appears 'they' have been fantastically economical on designs for the world over for this film.

I am talking about numbers of designs across all the territories (i.e. just three) although I am sure one can argue they have been artistically economical too.

I've already added these to the fan art thread, but I'm sure it's appropriate to post my ideas for a Daniel Craig triple feature box set here as well.

Hope you like them!

The art is obviously just a placeholder. When has official DVD/BD art EVER been released mere weeks after a movie opens in the cinema? Doubful if they've even finalised the art yet. Amazon does this all the time.

Great work guys - Henry Jones, I've just noticed, in your 3rd pic, the isolated gunbarrel dots with Craig inside (my fave), the 'Quantum Of Solace' and 'Skyfall' pose of Craig looks near 90% identical, bar the head and his shirt/tie.... that's too close to call for the marketing team!!

My two cents on what I would like the DVD Cover to look like, working on something much better for DVD and Blu-Ray and should be done within a day or so.

Well done, tho I'd like the logo in the middle. The 007 logo looks as a hat to Bond.

Any improvement on the dissapointing 'Casino Royale' and even more 'Quantum Of Solace's features will be welcome, for such a big Bond year, and a greatly recieved film as 'Skyfall'.

Somewhat off topic but is the steelbook a UK only item? Would they work with blu ray players in America. The QOS and CR are disappointing the CR collectors edition made up for CR but do you think they will release a special edition of QOS with commentary and decent features?

I really like the latter two, only change I'd make is to change the 007 logo at the bottom to the less italicised version.

I was hoping for the cover art they use the UK poster with Daniel Craig in tuxdo on there is the gunbarrel on the back and England on the bottom back. Maybe Daboy can make one with it to would wotk or look good at all.

Any chance the ideas can be send to the right department of the movie studio and they will listen and reply back, or is it they don't care and say it junk email or spam.

Ah, you mean the Prom Night Poster.

Daniel Craig is Ian Fleming's JAMES BOND 007 in
'Prom Night To A Kill' :P
