Highly Unlikely but still hope the Blu-ray will be different

Ahh... I expected this to be used as the Box art but somehow I pictured it better in my mind ,

There's a link to the Blu-ray art on the page that zencat linked to. It's the same artwork.
Can't say I'm surprised. The artwork for SKYFALL has been abysmal every step of the way, why should we expect it to change now.

Of course, for it's reissue in two years they'll give it new artwork...

Me too. I really like the US poster and I think it works well on the DVD.I like it. I love that movie poster, and I like the choice for the DVD/Blu Ray cover.

Yeah, maybe they'll use the UK poster for a special edition down the line.

I had missed that earlier.

Typical, modern action flick style. Would look as good with Jason Statham on it.
Bond should be held to a higher standard. I agree, Skyfall's artwork has not lived up to the movie itself...

Agreed. I kept waiting for even just a "good" poster, but each one has been utterly uninspired and, at worst, terrible. It's like the LTK campaign all over again.

Already got the Goldeneye steelbook pre-ordered.

At least LTK had one decent poster. SKYFALL hasn't even managed that much.

While I like the teaser the most, you're right on it tdalton.

As I said before...
"If that's the official artwork I'm Arnold Palmer."
What a creative idea! Inpirational! Poor guy, I sympathize for him... spending hours and hours thinking of a DVD/Blu-Ray cover artwork....

Don't let this get your worries up - it's so early for artwork already as the film's still smashing box-offices globally.
Very early news, so plenty of time for official, real developments! We've not even got artwork or a release date for the DVD/Blu Ray here on .co.uk.

EDIT: It seems they have taken down the option to pre-order...guess I'll have to wait.

Come to think of it... was there even a scene in Skyfall where Bond fired from that position?
Not quite. The closest thing to it

I guess the one silver lining I can find here is that they didn't use the teaser poster as the artwork, as I think that's quite possibly the worst poster of the entire series. Not that it really matters, as the posters for SKYFALL are all at the bottom of the heap in terms of Bond posters, so there's not a single one of them that could be used as a decent cover for the DVD/Blu-ray.
The one silver lining that I can find is that the Blu-ray album with the other 22 films has a slot for Skyfall, so this cover can be immediately thrown into the bin.
