Unbelievably, it appears SF is still playing in the US even though the sell-thru has appeared.

It is now just $11m off position 6 - as of 4pm GMT.

So 'The Hobbit' has crossed the $1 billion mark. Still chuffed with 'Skyfall' doing this without the prices of 3D behind it, like 'TH' has. This really says something.

It has been 2 weeks since the last update. So it was 4 million the week before and 3 million last week.

But I don't know where the money came from.

Could be that it has to do with the exchange rates, and that they re-calculated all the grosses.

Isn't there a decimal point missing? $108 bn is a heck of a box office gross. Certainly puts Avatar to shame :D.

Damn - you are right of course.

I will leave it as is as a reminder of my slapdash attitude.

Cheers.  ;)

BOM is always the slowest when it comes to updates of "older" films.

"Casino Royale" stands at $599,6 million:

At BOM it's $599,0 million.

Actually its  $1,108,000,000, so even with the decimal point gaffe you were $100 million short as in that it passed the $1.1 billion mark. It feels great that "Skyfall" has made $100 million more than inflation adjusted "Thunderball" :)

"Skyfall" is after all the better movie.

The actual figure: $1,108,283,816
