MGW has done a "Hitchcock Cameo" in 14 (I believe) Bond films from Goldfinger to QoS. Has there been any word yet as to where, or if, he will be popping up again in Skyfall?

No idea yet but I bet it'll either be a commuter on the London Underground or a visitor to the art gallery - something less action based, now he's getting on a bit!

This thread should be titled: "Where's Willy?"

According to the interview with him in the FT (linked to in quicknews) he's been cut from the film. What's left is 'blink and you'll miss it'.

Sacrilege! How can you cut MGW's cameo? (Who's Gregg Wilson btw? Is he his son? I know Michael's middle name is Gregg)

First they move the gunbarrel, which I can live with, but cut out Micky's cameo? HERESY!

He is, and he's a part of Eon. The above referenced article has MGW mention that there a few family members working aboard the good ship EON.

I wouldn't care if they cut the gunbarrel all together, got rid of the Bond girls and filmed the entire film in Bongor Regis - I only go to Bond films for MGW OBE!

I believe Gregg Wilson has been serving as producer over the last few Bond games.

I know his other son David Gregg Wilson works on the Bond video games, didn't know about Gregg though. (They do like the name Gregg in the Wilson clan, don't they?

Wasn't that David?

It does get confusing Matt, seeing as they are all Gregg Wilsons, in a way.

It wouldn't make much sense if he had larger cameos in the film after he just played a character in CR would it? A blink and a miss sounds about right, gives us something extra to look out for and another reason to re watch the film.

Gregg Wilson is briefly visible in the trailer. Interested to see if anyone who hasn't read Bond on Set spotted him...

I was guessing he'd be somewhere in the London Underground scenes, but I didn't see him.

I realise this is slightly off-topic, but did I catch sight of Barbara Broccoli in the crowd of people watching... an event that was very rudely interrupted? It may just have been someone who looked like her, but it would be nice to think that they were both in Skyfall...

I saw composer Thomas Newman in the subway. Anyone else see him? It's when Daniel Craig is looking for Silva as Bond gets closer to one of the subway doors inside.

When we buy the DVD, or unless someone can put up a photo of the Skyfall cameos, we will know for sure.

I think I know who you mean, and I see the similarity, but I don't think it was Thomas Newman. Also, the underground scenes were shot quite a few months before Newman came over to London to work on the score. I'm happy to eat my words if proved wrong once we're all able to study the DVD though! :)

The person operating the subway train after Silva blows the tracks is a cameo of someone special lol, I can't remember who but I believe it was someone whose worked on the Bond films for years in the stunt department or special effects and then there was the more clear cameo of Wolf Blitzer.
