Dundee- further to discussion on the Scottishness thing... It looks( just looks the now mind) like posh Sam Mendes is going to have an 'England' expects fest.
I saw some posts re. the Glencoe origin being added to the books because of Connery.
Out of interest:
I've just been passed the Fleming Gymnasium building at University of Dundee donated by Ian Fleming's grandad Robert who rose from the jute mills of Lochee ( home of Dode 'Kitty Galore' Galloway) to US financier of Railroads etc. He never forgot Dundee and without his efforts Ian probably wouldn't have been Eton way and all the rest... Fleming Gardens Housing North, South, East and West was also donated to improve workers' housing. His gymnasium is now the Forensic Medicine building and stands next to the Carnegie building ( yes the Scots who also have the Hall in NYC) which is also dedicated to Robert A. Watt who studied there and led the Air Ministry team developing Radar applications used in The Battle of BRITAIN.
Yours Aye.
( Do the majority of Bond actors have Scots / Irish names?)
